EL Fuerte's Revenge! ala improvement thread

I seem to be doing fine without it. I’m just saying. Besides, I like the character too much to not play as him.

Wait, you say you agree, yet you’re saying you don’t need RSF?

Remove gimmick character.

There, improved.

how about remove you from this board.

there, forum improved.

honestly, either try and contribute positively, or just don’t post in a thread you are not interested in, that’s just lame.

Fuertes’ main weakness are his generally terrible normals. He needs some better stuff to work with in that department.

Bison never was good with chica’s…since everyone but Sakura has beef with him…lol since Juri is bison 2.0 with more purple stuff

some good suggestions guys…keep em coming

I’d like RSF to be easier to actually do, the timing is crazy, it’s already hard enough to actually pull it out in the middle of a match, but on top of that it’s very difficult to pull off in a high pressure situation like a tournament. Anything to make the execution easier for the RSF would be amazing.

Also make it so RSF actually works the same on all characters, honestly, what’s up with that? It makes doing it all the more harder.

To make RSF the same on all characters would probably just need a bigger hitbox on standing close fierce. I’m fine with RSF being tough-ish to do. It’s such a unique combo. I’m fine with 1 or 2 more advantageous frames on standing close fierce, but nothing more.

I think Fuerte is a pretty easy character to tweak. Overall 10% damage increase to any move off run and his non-run slide. Give him 1000 HP. 1 more frame of advantage on st.cl.fierce (optional). He’s now easily mid tier. Also, if guac is going to trade, it should do its damage. I’m fine with it trading, it just needs to do damage when it does.

I’m fine keeping Fuerte with his limited wakeup arsenal and limited footsie game. Once you catch him, it should be hard for him to get away.

Fuerte has good focus breakers already. Standing far HK and any of his air grabs are pretty solid. Quesadilla bomb is a move I don’t think would suit him well being remapped to a quarter-circle move.

Says the guy with negative rep.:looney::looney:

why do you keep coming back and posting in a thread you don’t give a damn about? do you really have absolutely no life?? this is pathetic really… I won’t bother responding to you anymore, just go find something better to do plz.

This is a reminder, any furthur annoyance and you will be reported: taken from SRK rules:

“15. Trolling is classified as sitting on the forums and posting nothing productive. This includes posting with the intention of being insulting towards someone when it’s entirely unprovoked. Some people also post with the intention of doing nothing but irritating the mods. That accomplishes nothing and wastes too much bandwidth. Trollers who can’t post anything productive will be banned at anytime an administrator feels you are abusing the system.”

He already has the fastest backdash in the game, if someone is throwing you on wakeup it is BECAUSE they thought you were gonna run.

Leave RSF alone!

We learned it, we love it!

(Usable on crouching opponents is the only change to rsf I want to see)

You make a valid point, after reading all the other suggestions made it seems there are other key fixes that are more important than ex run invinciibility. Some people think stamina should remain the same, but I do believe it should be boasted to 950, it will make a big difference imo. And I think almost anyone would agree that gordita sorbat is completely useless and should be replaced (many suggestions have been made on what should replace it in the fuerte sub-forum). Qbomb’s command seems to also be a key issue among many Fuerte users, the current button charge limits its potential.

Wider hit box range on this Tostade Press - the amount of times that move misses a opponent, especially a jumping opponent is sick.

Some faster normals/pokes (and potentially a faster FA) - Baiting wake ups, especially light DPs gives me zero time to do anything before they can perform another move

An instant grab ultra would be beneficial too. The timing required to hit his Giga Buster makes it a weaker ultra IMO.

I don’t really like holding buttons to do moves (mainly cause I’m cr4p at doing it >_<) so would also like to try the Q Bomb as another input…

Never thought of a command grab - that it would be sweet

Personally I didn’t think anyone apart from Seth, Akuma and Gouken should have under 1000 health but would like to play it balanced this way before confirming.
[]More health or damage - One or the other is fine by me. More health is probably the better way to make him competitive. This is the only buff that I think is crucial.
[
]Faster normals - From a character design standpoint fast characters should have fast moves.
[]Change Gordita Sobat - I don’t necessarily mean it should be replaced, but more tweaked. Maybe it breaks armor? Maybe it knocks into the corner like 3S Ryu’s horsekick?
[
]Fix Guacamole so if it trades, it does damage - Maybe not full damage, but enough that you dont have to use only EX guacs for fear of trading.

Make RSF the same for every character - Extend HP’s hitbox. Now it catches characters with reeling animations and probably extends the reps of RSF. Win win.
I think those buffs are fair and keep Fuerte with some weaknesses.

Q-bomb isn’t a big deal for me, just learn when to charge it and shorten the charge timer.

While the gigabuster does have tricky timing (and hence it might be considered a weaker ultra) I still think it should remain the same because its part of what makes Fuerte fun, the risk factor and the satisfaction gained from being successful and also landing the ultra at the perfect time. However, the new ultra should definitely be something more forgiving and can be linked through a combo, although to compensate, it should deal less damage than the first ultra.

Another vote for removing RSF.

As long as it’s there you’ll always have to balance against the fact that he has it, and that’s why he’s so weak in SF4.

I’d really just give him more health or deal more damage, or give him better priority on his air normals.

the only normal i want to be faster is close st. HK,
