EL Fuerte's Revenge! ala improvement thread

As long as it’s a Lucha-Libre technique it would be fine. like a Hurricanrana or something.

as far as Gordita, I’m sure they’re NOT removing that move. so we’ll have to bear with that move, and see what they do to it… it needs work though. lots of work.

Close HK should be sped up.

We need the info on what Fuerte is gettin. the wait is killin me

rsf dropped into fajita should land … >_>

I used to be against Fuerte getting a 360 since I also thought it wouldn’t fit his style. But at this point, I think it would really help, and it wouldn’t be too much of a difference in style since he is a wrestler after all, even if different from typical ones. As long as it looks flashy (and be useful of course) then it should match his style.

How would that work? Would he use his opponent like a part of a wrestling stage to set it up?

I think that El Fuerte 360 grab (ex included) will be an excellent tool, because not only to do a good mix-ups, under pressure, the other char will think twice to stay close if you can do a command throw. For that reason, against zang, abel, honda & seth people don’t want to stay close, so it helps against pressure if they known that you can do it.

El Fuerte needs too almost one 3 frames tool (jab, short or something), I think that this element is very very important to consider.

Agree. In an interview with TKD (done and posted by Yagami), he also said he wanted Fuerte to get a 3 frames tool as an improvement in super. Let’s hope we get that.

R. Mika had a 360 move, which started up like a bit further away than the range of Zengief’s grab. I still have no idea why Capcom didn’t bring in R. Mika since she was already an established luche libre in the SF universe, but who knows. Probably saving it for like SSF 4 TURBO edition or something.

Woohoo!

Eh, Mika’s cool and all but Fuerte’s a different playstyle.

Fewer recovery frames?

Where’d this info come from?

It came from TheLeaker. His info is legit.

(He’s also banned, lol.)

hmmm. I hope that’s not the only change then lol

That leak is infuriatingly general, haha. Does this mean his normals give better advantage on block? Is Q-Bomb finally safe on hit? Is Tostada Press safer on block? Tostada Press shouldn’t be punishable at all IMO, you should be forced to block it or challenge it. But that would make it marginally difficult to counter, so of course it won’t be in the game.

Anyway, I just learned that Tostada Press is -16 on block off Habanero Dash, but -12 off Habanero Backdash. Wow. That doesn’t change much, but I guess it makes the punishment window a bit smaller for some things.

I’ll take this with a side of Quesadilla Bomb with shorter start-up. And if you have any extra grab range I’ll take some of that, too.

Good to know! Will be doing more HBD TP from now on! ^^

I’d be careful with that Rey.

it’s easier to react to Tostada off of back run… so it SHOULD be faster recovery. Remeber, forward run has two moves that look the same. same with back dash, that being Tortiiiiiiilla and forward jump

I think backrun TP is better for intentional whiffs by cutting it short

Of course I’ll be careful with it! I hate getting punished for a blocked/whiffed TP. =/

Damn I hate rumors/leaks like this, it brings my hope really up but then when it turns out to be false, I feel depressed. I NEED confirmation T_T

sigh just a bit longer…

Everytime I see a new post in this thread, I get my hopes up thinking that there’s been some new concrete info about fuerte in super. Always disappointed lol

Anyways, I was thinking that you know how it’s been revealed that some characters from SF4 would be getting new moves? I cant think of any vanilla characters who were heavily played at the fightclub tests who got anything. Hopefully this could mean fuerte gets an improved or replaced sobat or even additional moves off back run.

Also, maybe someone a little more knowledgeable in sf4 than myself can help play a little theory fighter here. So ultra spark works like akumas ultra demon in that it’s a travelling grab that doesnt have 0-frame startup. My question is based of what we know akuma is capable of, could fuerte do the ultra off a reset? ie crouching hp a jump in, and ultra as they land

On the same theory, how about cs.hk -> run -> stop -> spark?
