Elf Should get more options off from Dash using the commands that are unused:
~ Front dash
Back +RH: that could be a .
~ Back Dash
Low kick can be the same, but Forward and RH should be different. Forward kick can backflip off the wall into an chin lock at a trajetory similar to the propeller throw. Must be blocked high
RH can do the same, but block low and it’s a different move.
1.CHANGE THAT DAMN ANNOYING ENGLISH VOICE OF FUERTE’S!
2.i would like to have fuerte have a move where he can mash out of combos like the majority of the cast (ryu mashes out with dragon punch, cammy has that annoying spike…etc)…he needs something that is a strike with high priority (something like a flying lucha libre elbow the the face or a frying pan!)…all he has it a dash or ex guac that hand be easily punished. he needs a little bit more defensive capabilities.
I am a big fan of Fuerte’s Japanese voice (not so much the english), so as long as they keep the japanese one the same, it should be good with me. It seems that the english voice is a love/hate kind of one, as some people think its authentic and good, others think its very annoying (both understandable views).
I like the English voice, but it’s hard to take him seriously. The Japanese one lets me take him seriously, but the English one has a Mexican accent, so yeah.
make his tostada press hit once on the way up, and once on the way down; the first hit will combo into the second. You can still mix up hit/throw by whiffing the first part. You could also still mix up front/back after you make them block the first hit.
make his spinning gut buster cancelable into air throw; kind of like Cammys’ hooligan combination. I would much prefer this move to go through fireballs on the way up than the tostada press.
make a forward jump similar to his backrun + K. The different kicks determine which way to jump.
change the trajectory of his guacamole throw. lk goes straight up, mk goes far forward. hk and ex are ok as they are.
Q-bomb. Make it start-up instantly or make it throw invincible or safe on block or armor. Just anything to make it better than what it is now. It would be fun if he had his run options on hit or block.
I would be happier with the Q-Bomb if it wasn’t a hold down command. I wish it was something more like Half Circle Forward Kick. The fact that it takes away a kick for a few seconds really sucks. It’s his only special move that shatters glass and it needs to be accessible instantly. Really, I need all the kick buttons to move at full potential.
On Fuerte’s English voice, I always imagine it as just being a man trying to sound like a small dog. It could be done better.
I don’t mind holding down the buttons. That’d be cool if the more kicks you held down, the faster quesadilla bomb came out, or there was an actual EX version despite what the manual says.
It’d also be nice if there was a default fuerte button layout in the config screen. As it stands right now, Fuerte in arcade is really held back due to the awkwardness of hand positioning when using quesadilla bomb.
There is one thing that bothers me a bit about QBomb that hasn’t been mentioned a lot, it can be FADC’ed but there is almost no point in doing so since there is no good combo follow up to justify wasting two super bars. It would be great if this can be fixed so that Qbomb can be canceled into something more meaningful (maybe the second ultra or something more subtle but also effective).
Yes there are uses like that, but as you say, they are limited, especially when you compare them to many other characters. You can certainly use the options you listed to surprise your opponent once in a while, even win a match if the opponent is low on health. But in most other cases, that still means you will waste two super bars that can be used for more useful moves (like ex guac or ex run). Qbomb is already limited in use, so having it also burn through the super bar through FADC makes it even less attractive imo. If you find out other uses for Qbomb -> FADC then please share them, maybe there is something I am missing (and others too)
