Why do people cancel OTG plasma beam after like 3 hits?

Maybe they’re…still used to the way it was in vanilla? Yeah, I don’t get it either. Its just confusing.

reposting here since no one seems to pay attention to the V2 thread.

funny little thing I found when developing a new combo concept. in the corner, normally you can only get up to 2 reps of the corner loop after my j.L ~ Hdive loop. however, I found out that if you manage to get the opponent high enough above Doom before launching, you can actually hit the opponent with j.M on the way down then relaunch with S right away. this lets you get a 3rd relaunch for more meter build and roughly the same amount of damage.

Hdive, addf, cr.L, cr.H, S, [j.L ~ Hdive, add]x2, S, j.L ~ Hdive, add, cr.M, S, j.M, Hdive, j.S, add, j.M (2 hits), S, j.M, Hdive, j.S, add, j.H (whiff), st.H, S, j.M, j.M, Hdive, j.S

the timing to get the last j.M is pretty tight. you need to do this combo as quickly as possible in order to break 1m with an assist extension into Sphere Flame (I only used Bolts assist, but another assist will likely do more damage). managed to get up to 1.01m with my team configuration, but if you have more assists that aren’t affected by HSD, then by all means go for it.

I’ll probably have a video soon if I have the time. you can also get a third j.L ~ Hdive rep at the beginning if you’re fast enough, but you won’t get the third relaunch. just for swag mostly.

Hey guys, I haven’t touched the game since vanilla, and I’m looking to get back into it.
I haven’t been able to find the exact notations for his new midscreen BnB( the double footdive bnb, not the buktooth)
So I’ve been just eying how to do it, How many hits of Mediums do you want have hit optimally midscreen?(2 Mediums is 4 hits) Does it Differ in the corner?

Your right…but if is kinda your combo you could have at least hit the damn like button…any way that’s not my full version of the stolen combo its just what I could get in 10 seconds…I could get more reps and a better start I just need someone to hold the camera

it’s only stealing if you claim the original idea was yours, and at the very least you just said you got it from Marlinpie. that’s acceptable if you really did not know any better. but why in the world would I like your post if I knew that the idea was mine to begin with? lol. it’s also weird that you only saw Marlin do it a few weeks ago when my video was posted back in January. no harm done, and I also did not know you felt this strongly about your video.

Too much of this going around. People passing off shit they didn’t come up with as their own idea then feigning ignorance when someone points out they got it from somewhere else. Shit annoys the fuck out of me which is why I don’t post anything anymore until I have it on vid.

Not many people can say that they came up with a concept that its completely there own…in most cases its just someone doing their version of somebody else combo…and needless to say I’m not much different in that respect…but if I do see something new I feel I owe it to the community to at least try to share that information…i mean isn’t that what this form is for?

You can save yourself trouble and confusion from others just by having your post be more than a video link. If you see something cool and record your own video that is great! Just say you saw something and recorded your own copy. There are lots of those in this thread and no one jumps all over them.

Also keep in mind the sharing information part. Lots of times if you see a combo it is likely the top player is using something they saw here too. People get irked when something they found is attributed to someone else, even by mistake.

Just a mis-understanding. Chalk it up to your post with no text to explain, and also lately certain character threads are heavily stifled by negativity. Either way, definitely appreciate people that try to share something they thought was new or underdeveloped.
