Jon Mox, ya gotta play that 3s. I can think of a couple characters that you might like, but I’ll try my best to ease you into the world of street fighter 3. There’s no real Bison character in the game (except maybe alex) but I’m sure you’ll find someone your style. Also 1der hit the nail on the head with random = makoto. :looney:

having the cab at Siren has made for some awesome atmosphere between the music and the old movies they play. We’ve had 3S accompanied by Charlie Chaplin and Bridget Bardot and a soundtrack provided by the Police, Blondie, Dengue Fever(in the vid), and Therapist’s Gouki hate track. RAWR
I should be able to swing up to Doylestown tonight, I’ve really gotta put some time in on 3s. I’ve been playing Guilty Gear and (more recently) Melty Blood (I swear theres a reason for it).
Also, by means of me being an illiterate jackass, I bought six 24mm green buttons instead of 30mms, so tell me if you want to throw them in the cabinet. lol
GGs last nite Ed, easy does it. You are improving, you just need to slow down a bit. It is only casuals after all on freeplay.

Definitely, I sat down and re-looked at how to play Chun entirely, and I’m coming back with a much better understanding, I just need to watch my inputs because things like EX legs or EX bird kick are way too easy to accidentally mash out. I’m starting to use c. mk > SAII a lot more, and it’s working very well, the only other thing I really don’t understand is her other medium into SAII that I need to do some form of a cancel into, I’m sure I can pick it up from someone though.

Ed it’s probably a link. Also u might want to learn of of chun’s links and confirms, they’re all very helpful and part of what make her so scary. Chun’s also not really a combo character in 3s… nothing at all like her SF4 self.

Her back + mp is a double slap and u can cancel into super after the 2nd hit. It’s good in punishment situations like a blocked Ken SAIII because it comes out in just 5 frames which is relatively fast.
Her s.mp is a decent high poke. If you do [qcf+mp, qcf+kick] in empty space, just her s.mp comes out. But if the opponent stuck out a poke or dashed in, the mp hits and super comes out automatically. It’s a neat trick as Chun can combo a super from half a screen away off of a counter poke s.mp. It’s just plain wrong.
Don’t worry about her other mediums too much. It’s probably best to learn the range and purpose of each of her normals and how to use them in conjunction with her SUPERBLY fast walking speed. Also be able to punish with super, cuz that’s important. I wouldn’t go for c.mk, s.hk, or b.hp into super until you can confirm that they are gonna hit a high percentage of the time. A Chun that regularly misses supers is easier to beat than a Chun that rarely supers at all, imo.
