Dictator online is nonsense I swear. I’ll play a Dic online and he will slide at me and I cant block on reaction. He does it to me offline in tourney and I TU FADC doomsday combo ftw.
Smh. Why do people insist on playing diff online or being silly with their strategy? Do they not know they set themselves back by doing unsafe gimmicky things online?
Couldn’t agree with you more. It’s the main reason Bison is my most hated online character. I feel like getting on the Mic and saying WHY ARE YOU DOING THESE THINGS!!! The only saving factor is, I’ve played (and still do) that much high level dictator bull shit that I’ve become accustomed to almost every random set up.
You can never account for the spamming of HK and Scissors though. By far the easiest character to play online. Three of the highest PP players in my Area play Bison.
Lol online = PP only to a certain extent. Heck I’ve had a ton of cammys do spiral arrow at laughably visible unsafe distances, I learnt my lesson after getting uppercutted for trying to punish the third time, lol most characters that get away with unsafe BS are Dictator, Claw ( brb blocking sweep and then trying to punish getting ultra’d…), boxer, cammy etc etc
That being said theres a hella lot of fraud high ranked sagats online still using vannilla jump back tactics smh.
I can see Juri definitely being a bad match up for Sagat, her dive kicks pretty much kills Sagats fireball game especially when she has ultra 2 on stock, up close she has better normals that beat Sagat, i think she could actually be probably his 2nd most notable bad MU in 2012.
I think it’s even now but could be worse in 2012. She is way too free on wake-up right now. Sagat can zone her, he just has top watch himself alot more.
Juri will never be notable though.
No one plays her and with good reason. There are far stronger chars that take less work with better results. Learn the match but will you see it often in tourney? No I highly doubt it.
I seriously think everyone has been sleeping on juri.
She only got nothing but true buffs since super.
When I fight her, I can only tiger shot during specific times.
Tiger shot after she is landing from a jump or duration normal or any other action, other than that. Ure gonna eat a dive kick.
Mixing up tiger shots during those times, I try to bait her jump by making her think i will follow up with tiger shot, and then stuff her jump wit a f+HK. Patience is key against juri.
Fei’s Flame kick for anti air is the best in the game.
First input is back… Which is block…
So he can to late anti air and either block or stuff u AA.
What the hell hah.
Sagat has a forward input, has a huge tall hit box, and 5 frames
And sometimes online, if u do a late uppercut.
U will eat a big dropping punch to the face. Omg.
Juri is like meh. Just don’t let her jump the same time you do a fireball (this applies to fucking EVERYONE). Zone her, meaty cr.lk and bam, jizz all over her face. And I still believe some matchups are mixed. Big advantage against characters that needs to get near you by zoning them out but once they get in with their retarded mixups (like gief or ken), Sagat’s all “omgwtfbbq this is op”. Hell I was playing at the arcade a few weeks ago and Sakura does her air hurricane shit and she ALWAYS fucking avoid gat’s uppercut (including auto-corrected uppercuts =__=). So its just generally bad if Sagat throws a bad tiger or characters with strong crossovers and mixups.
As a Fei player, It’s well short of best in the game. It goes straight up in the Air, so your opponent has to be sharing the same T-shirt for it to connect. It’s 5 frames, and trades a hell of a lot more than it should. The EX version is probably the best.
The input motion is actually the only thing that makes it good. It’s getting a damage reduction and a frame FADC adjustment.
Fei will be a lot easier to fight in V2012. No jab to sweep, No death combo (this is bigger than you might think), Damage reduction. Plus with the push back on the second rekka, there’s a good chance he can be TU every time no matter the distance of the fist now. This will need testing obviously but TU has great range, I think it’ll work.
Big Body Presence was the name of my fantasy hockey team last year, and this picture was the icon for my team. When SRK made the server change my old avatar wasn’t the right dimensions so I just took this and made it my avatar. I was gonna change it because no one seems to know where it’s from but never got around to it. I think you’re the first! lol
Juri and Adon are (imo) easy 6-4s or worse against Sagat. Fuzzy guard setups into huge damage and much, much easier ways around fireballs for 1 bar at worst (sometimes 0 bar). U1 for Juri and U1 for Adon are both particularly devastating for Sagat. Once they get in, Sagat will take damage. If Juri has U1 stocked, you’ll take probably 300 points of damage on average. (Sometimes you take 0 damage if you TU FADC and wear out her timer with ultra, sometimes you’ll take 600+).
Juri can zone, too. I think she keeps up with Sagat in the fireball war, so if she gets a life lead, you have to go to her. She also builds way more meter than Sagat for doing the same thing. She’s free on wakeup? She has EX counter to get away from low short if she really needs it, but otherwise, just block?
Perhaps you won’t really have to learn the Juri match to win a tournament, but that fact is irrelevant when we’re discussing theory fighter.
There was a good set online between Infiltration’s Juri and another Korean Sagat that imo shows some of the tech. I’m sure you guys have seen it. You can argue that the Sagat wasn’t as skilled or whatever (and you’d be right probably), but I think if you extract the strategies used and applied them to theory fighter, Juri wins the fight.
