Here’s something interesting. A few guys are putting up a Rachel match up chart and surprisingly, the conclusion is that she’s got a few disadvantageous match ups against her.

So far these have been identified as characters that’ll give her trouble.

Meanwhile characters like Alpha and Gen Fu are considered even (5:5).

So I played SonicFox5000 and got my ass handed to me (though I think I did pretty decent considering I don’t go to tourneys and he places in tourneys all the time). He also told me they aren’t touching Rachel in this up coming patch. I have mixed feelings about this as while she might not be broken, that heel stomp does need some work.

Well he told me he spoke with Tom Lee(?) and apparently he told him that they aren’t touching Christie or Rachel this patch. I dunno what they are doing, but I find it hard to believe that Team Ninja isn’t going do anything to Rachel, especially how they handled all the characters coming to Ultimate.

Tom chats with many people in the community. It’s possible it’s true, but still, I would put money down on saying that no one from the american community knows the full list of changes in the patch.

Considering that Rachel loses out in the neutral to Ayane, Kasumi, Hitomi, Christie, Sarah and Bass, I’m not surprised. Just one careless nerf and she’s shit tier.

Again, she really isn’t that bad to deal with. The only issue with her is her Heel Stomp IMO and they should make changes to the move on whiff and the hitbox.She shouldn’t be plus a million if she misses the stomp. and Sonic caught me atleast 3 or 4 times with the heel stomp and he wasn’t even stepping anywhere near my body. He was literally stepping on my soul. Thats all I want to see changed about it.

My personal expectation is that the stomp on whiff will have more recovery, probably so instead of +11 it is around +5 or +6.

That seems legit. It doesn’t hurt her too much, but it makes her less safe on whiff. Anybody have any idea when that patch is supposed to come out anyway? I thought it was supposed to come out last friday.

So I just tested Rachel’s heel stomp myself, it is showing her being everything BUT positive on WHIFF (constant -2 to be exact), meaning either they nerfed it on whiff or i’m doing something wrong with her basic combo. If anybody wants to give it a try then go ahead, but I am getting this constantly. It is still +15 if it connects.
