Not perks, they just strip half the features/modes/maps instead, basically making it so you can’t even play w/ your friends if you don’t do it too, and random other things like you get less XP, etc.
Imagine if you only had arcade/endless battle in SFxT unless you paid for all the other features. Not even stat tracking… and no tournament participation w/o it

Never really got into GW. If it was something else to look forward to, it would be Dota 2. Already playing the hell out of the beta for that one. But seriously, to get bored of D3 that fast means that Blizzard would’ve done an ass job on it. I have faith in Blizzard, unlike Capcom.
Will probably get SFxT, just not at full price and not gonna support the DLC either.

Outside of MMO’s, Blizzard always makes games that are “almost” great, and it takes months of balancing followed by an expansion before it really reaches that great point… Happened with sc, d2, wc3, sc2… and considering features were removed from D3 expect it to happen again.
Blizzard plays it safe with the original release and makes up for the shortcomings with the expansions.
GW2 is pulling a Blizzard on Blizzard this time… counter-releasing them 1-2 months after… although they havent announced the date yet I guarantee you a lil over 2 weeks from now after beta starts they will be announced their release date june-july. And having played GW2… I can say GW2 will likely be the superior PvP game, D3 PvE (if for no other reason the RMAH).
When the entitled kids stop complaining about anything and everything so developers actually start taking complaints seriously. Look at my sig, that’s a perfect example. People werent complaining then, but if they did the same exact business practice now youd have thousands of kids complaining and going nuts…
Doesnt get very far with developers if thousands of kids are crying but they sell like hotcakes showing interest anyway. Especially when they start complaining before any announcements are made…
If you don’t like it don’t pay, save the complaining until the right time, if you really didnt like it you wouldnt pay, or else your making the situation worse instead of better.

I’ve been thinking, would things still seem bad if Capcom had decided to go the CoD route and let people unlock better gems as they leveled up? It’s just a thought I had yesterday. Of course, beginners would get trashed when facing upper level people. Just my 2 cents worth.
Blizz games since the merge with Activision are 1 step forward and 3 steps back, patch after patch they reach a great point of balance and then they fuck up the “balance” again on the next expantion lol, the most funny thing is how they admit the release of some games (specially wow) and patch them with a method of “trial and error”

I didn’t expect them to be free, and I don’t know if that makes this situation better or worse.
Only roughly 1/3rd of the gems are free. Doesn’t change anything.

Now, five slots, plus the DLC gems… That is going to break the entire game. Overpowered and cheap tactics can be made with ease with those gems.
There is one game, EX Auto Throw Escape Lv3 that will tech ALL throws and take no fucking meter.
EX Auto Block Lv 3 will block if you fail to, and take 1/8 of your meter.
