Django Unchained : How many times can we use the word "nigga" thread
While that might be true, I think that it was more a development point for Schultz where his morality is in such conflict that Candi, this person he considers a villain of sorts, just won and was more or less rubbing it in his face (demanding the handshake), that he wanted to show that Candi, who feels he’s superior and powerful and invincible, ultimately isn’t.

Would the movie have been shorter. Oh yea, but it’s more poignant that Schultz did what he did to make his point.[/details]

That’s my interpretation anyway.

Here’s a less stupid link to a dumbass interview

I at least understand teenagers trolling people online and IRL, but this is a full grown balding adult trying to run one past the interviewee.

TIS - your white friends are fucking morons.

Dopest movie I’ve seen all year. Dr. Schultz too stronk. “I couldn’t resist”

Spoiler

It would have been better to have Django just kill them all right after schultz got wacked within that same scene rather than to have that whole thing with the Aussies. It was a good scene but would have felt a little less long without it.
Yea, in that particular case. I think QT wrote himself in a corner thinking ‘Okay, all this happens. He’s out of bullets and… fuck! What happens next?’[/details]

nah the stuff with the aussies/how everything doesnt end with the shootout is one of the most genius things about the movie.

I saw Lincoln and then the following day watched Django. Movies and documentaries have have taught that Negro was the term used mostly so the heavy use of the word nigger was rather surprising.

Movie was way longer than it had to be but I did enjoy it, disappointed Schultz didn’t make it. Sam Jackson’s performance was great  I don’t know why people were hating on Tarantino’s cameo, he sounded like he was from Zim not Australia lol.

This guy called Spike Lee an Uncle Tom - http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/2013/01/spike_lee_is_no_quentin_tarant.php

Uncle Luke is a writer now? Wow.

The first three comments on that annoy the hell out of me.

You have to see deadline comments through the prism of jaded LA-based film industry wannabes

If that’s the case, it’s evident why they didn’t make it.

Who walks out of this movie thinking it was a comedy? I laughed a few times during Skyfall. Was that a comedy, too?

Maybe they’re all white supremacists

Loved the movie… A tarintino fan.

Sam stole the movie… sorry his reaction and ability to 180 (the ‘library’ scene) defined his skilled to act an his final scene rant classic…

waltz (schultz) just like inglorious bastards… damn good acting as usual with some solid scenes/dialog

leo was cool for his character… but for some odd reason i would of wanted more screen time from “big daddy” lmao

jamie was cool but i felt he needed more imo… its was like the other characters/side character took more from the scenes

one scene put me in tears… the scene with big daddy an jonah hill gathering up the posse… that scene about their mask ROFLMAO

Had realized till I read the BBC article that this was Leo’s first “bad guy” role
