While that might be true, I think that it was more a development point for Schultz where his morality is in such conflict that Candi, this person he considers a villain of sorts, just won and was more or less rubbing it in his face (demanding the handshake), that he wanted to show that Candi, who feels he’s superior and powerful and invincible, ultimately isn’t.
Would the movie have been shorter. Oh yea, but it’s more poignant that Schultz did what he did to make his point.[/details]
It would have been better to have Django just kill them all right after schultz got wacked within that same scene rather than to have that whole thing with the Aussies. It was a good scene but would have felt a little less long without it.
[spoiler=]Yea, in that particular case. I think QT wrote himself in a corner thinking ‘Okay, all this happens. He’s out of bullets and… fuck! What happens next?’[/details]
I saw Lincoln and then the following day watched Django. Movies and documentaries have have taught that Negro was the term used mostly so the heavy use of the word nigger was rather surprising.
Movie was way longer than it had to be but I did enjoy it, disappointed Schultz didn’t make it. Sam Jackson’s performance was great  I don’t know why people were hating on Tarantino’s cameo, he sounded like he was from Zim not Australia lol.
