Exactly, I’d debate that 2nd is his best position, because he really isn’t the kind of character that can run through entire teams like Mags, Wesker, or Vergil. He also does not have much of a need of combo-extending assists, just one to complement his neutral. He is good at cleaning up after the point kills a character or too, and good at stalling the opponent’s XF by just double/wall jumping all over the place while still being able to block. It also gives him the option to kill any character with the XF2 infinite, and if you’re mixup is good enough, the infinite should have netted you enough meter to kill using 3-4 meters. I play him with Hawkeye which makes him very capable of sniping the opponent and the assist because of Gimlet THC (thus eliminating the startup on his super, making it pretty much instant) and you could kill a character from sj.L-guns into super, DHC in Gimlet XF, dash in for a slide.

I love to bait people into pushing buttons after a hyper and dhcing into Cutting Time. Risky unless I have another dhc but always fun. Hawkeye/Deadpool is soo good. Gets free punishes on a lot of moves like disruptor.

Just played a huge set against Wedge (around 60-70 games) and I’ve come to the conclusion we all REALLY need to stop doing unsafe guns xx Teleports. Idk how many times we did it only to be punished. Yet would still do it again out of habit and would either get punished or lucky.

I’m going to just use task arrows and dash in behind themand go low. Might teleport behind as they come down to get the L/R mixup as well. Much more solid than guns to teleport.

Hey guys, this weekend there is going to be a 5v5 Marvel Exhibition of NY’s Finest (Team MH+others) vs NE at GUTS2 being streamed by Team Spooky, and as defending marvel champ, I’ve been asked to be a part of team NE. Well, I’m back from evo. Went 1-2, but it’s ok because I lost to Paradigm and DjHuoshen. Can’t be too sad about that.
Deadpool put in some work despite me getting 3-0’d by both of them it wasn’t a convincing 3-0 bodied as you’d think (well maybe whenever paradigm got the first clean hit into mix-upxN)

Playing Paradigm I fucked up the start on the last 2 games with my hulk. The first game I had his team to about quarter health each and was keeping haggar out with pool. He got dorm in and started going in hard and it made it difficult to navigate. After losing that one barely he got the first hit on the next two games and pretty much just put me in a vortex.

While playing huoshen I lost twice to comeback taskmaster. Dropped a few deadpool combos due to almost never playing offline. I just couldn’t clutch it out ;_;

Next year though, I’m going in stronger than ever. You’ll see Deadpool doing work on stream someday :stuck_out_tongue:
Wish I could say I learned something new with deadpool, but if anything i confirmed the strategies I used are pretty effective.

What is that unscale glitch stuff that can be done with Amaterasu’s Cold Star assist? A guy told me about this on the X-23 forums on that post: Let Me Know When the Fight Starts!: The MvC3 X-23 Video Thread

Basically from a combo that’s scaled really hard- let’s say c.LM s.H QCB+H dash c.M s.H QCB+M BDP+L s.H QCB+M dash S sj.H j.QCF+HxxH, you can call sentinel drones or Ammy’s cold star right before you launch and your opponent will fall into the assist using the bolo. The opponent is supposed to tech out of the bolo before they hit the ground, which would reset the damage scaling, but the assist keeps them in and resets the damage and hitstun scaling so you can keep the combo going. It’s essentially the same thing I used in my DP community combo video entry, except I did it with sentinel instead of cold star.

When the Cold Star assist hit the dummy before he falls on the ground, the damage isnt reseting here in tha lab. I don’t know why

The timing is extremely temperamental. It’s very picky. If you do it right, the damage scaling and hitstun scaling reset so the damage you’re doing in your combo will start shooting up out of nowhere.

I didn’t understand the theory behind it yet. If I could understand I would be able to know more precisely what I have to do to make that glitch.

its a training room glitch from what ive read. no ones ever landed this combo in a real match.

Aaaaand wrong. Because I’ve landed it in a match before lol. Everyone says it’s a training room glitch, and they’re wrong.

It’s not a training room glitch. I’ve done this many times in sets with my friends before. It’s just a timing-sensitive technique that can be hard to utilize in the middle of a heated match. Personally, I find it easier to do the glitch from a throw than a regular hit-confirm.

Hey I’m sure most of you know Capcom’s asking for feedback for a “possible” balance patch.
What would you guys like to see Deadpool have in the new update? I was thinking…

Back Throw(air/ground) doesn’t have as much knock back
Ninja Stars Cause more hit/block stun
Bolo Hit box+durability slightly increased
Teleport no longer malfunctions after 2nd teleport
New Command: RDP+S=Teleport malfunction **cause a soft knockdown

Overhead into teleport, 3 teleports before explosion instead of two, slightly more meterbuild in general.

Maybe invincible startup on cuttin’ time.

Other than that and what you said, Kindafresh, I’m out of ideas.

Also, if Deadpool gets touched/buffed, we should expect to lose the scaling glitch as a tradeoff.

I discussed it with wedge a while ago.
-The ability to block after ever ninja gift and not just ninja stars.
-Increase the damage of Cutting Time (inv isn’t as important as the crap damage it does)
Also have last hit cause soft knockdown instead of them popping out at sj height.
-More chip damage on zoning options
-Make Katanaram L xx Chimi connect every time
-More hitstun on air normals

Personally I want
-M guns assist or H guns assist to last longer
-1 more teleport before explosion
-Faster start up or larger hitbox on cr.h so cr.mh doesn’t drop on short characters
