sorry if this is a dumb question, but does does the light version of katanarama have any use?
i thought maybe it could be a decent anti air since it extends so far past deadpool, but the angle is kind of weird and it’s too slow to anti air the things i want to anti air (helm breaker, footdive and such). and it doesn’t even seem to be able to combo into chimichangas most of the time, unless i’m doing things terribly wrong.
there’s got to be some reason to use this move, or else why would he have it, but i can’t figure out just what that use may be.
You can combo any quick work into chimichangas. It’s a 2 frame link so it can be kind of hard to learn and the timing is different for each strength of the move.
L quick work can be used to extend some combos. L Quick Work can also be used in some mind game type stuff. Some people do cross unders with H Quick Work (on incoming you call assist, do quick work to cross under). You can use L Quick Work to fake the cross under.
At this point it’s not really practical, IMO they really should have buffed the hitbox on Wade’s L. K-Rama so it’s not useless…it doesn’t even connect to Chimi’s at midscreen 100% of the time.
You’re better off using H. Guns as a anti-air honestly. But vs things like Helmbreaker you just need to be patient and block>punish, what I’ve have been doing against the Son’s of Sparta lately is back dash when they start Helmbreaker because the only options are falling straight down(Dante can hammer) or doing killer bee and falling at a slant either way you can punish on block. When you’re dealing with footdive’s just block and st.L,st.L for the hit confirm, if you see the H.Footdive use a Bolo and you can get a combo off of that, H.Guns will work against Doom as well but its better to catch him in a Bolo and get a combo instead.
well that’s a shame. right now my anti derp-dive move is call vajra and block, lol. i was hoping l. katanas would be a more offensive way to go about stopping it but i guess not. oh well.
yeah, i need to use h guns more often, especially since vajra can bring them down from it and let you combo afterwards. i always forget about it when i’m actually playing, though.
Soooo good news is- I’ve found a way for Deadpool to get a raw tag into strange and combo into the FoF loops. Bad news is- I suck at the FoF loops and have only gotten it to work twice. Who wants to be the genius to actually make this work in a match?
Does anyone have that video with the Deadpool unscale glitch and Sentinel drones? I can’t find it. It seemed pretty neat and I wonder if it works with Unibeam since Unibeam has a bit of a delay and it might be easier to time.
You have to make sure the drones hit just late enough before the enemy untechs from the bolo. The timing is really hard, i practiced it for a full day before i got it down with sentinel. The trick is calling the drones while dashing and hitting S at the same time in the combo. It’s a quick series of inputs that requires some fairly high dexterity to get consistently. I might do a video breaking it down soon with recorded hand motions.
Which reminds me- sorry for not putting any videos up recently, folks, had issues with my capture device and the hdpvr not working, so im just going back to my dazzle for now.
Works with drones and Ammy’s coldstar. Honestly it’s stupidly easy to do on pad with a one button dash. I’m able to do it fairly consistently. Dp/Doom/Ammy would probably be best for a dp unscale glitch team.
So, j.L is actually a serviceable instant overhead on some characters… news to me. Does anyone have a complete list of who it does and doesn’t work on (and how well it works, etc?)
I don’t think there is really much you can do with it considering the recovery of katanarama is pretty long. And when I try to even do L katanarama in xf3 they still fall out after about 4.
Edit: I take that back I can do more I was just messing up the timing either too fast or too slow. BUt non xfactor still probably nothing unless you can get them to a certain height maybe to constantly do it.
