Depends, it’s all about timing. tele as assist is shooting beam then you’re good but too early and you’ll get grabbed by a skilled player…or masher.
Yeah if you’re coming down it’s pretty much the best you can get. j:h: is more for air to air game play like with what you said with the j:h: into bolo
If you wanna hit someone airdashing/jumping around, you’ll wanna do j.MH, and then of they block it throw ninja stars and you’ll have your double jump still. If it hits, throw a bolo and hit them with a beautiful 800k+ combo.
hmm. How would this work with Rapid Slash?
Hmm I’ve never really tried it but it’s probably even more trick considering it has a bigger hitbox but at the same time doesn’t hit for a longer period of time.
For coming down, j.S seems like the better option, but I’ve found more success falling down with j.H, because with j.H, the hitbox starts from the bottom of him, then towards the front, kinda like a QCF motion, while with j.S, the hitbox starts above him, then goes down, kinda like a magnetic blast motion. If your opponent is below you, j.H gets your hitbox out faster and it option selects as an airthrow.
As for option select, yeah j.H into Bolo is good at SJ & normal jump height, but from normal jump height on block, you can just cancel into S and be like at neutral frame advantage when you hit the ground.
AFAIK, it’s looking like Slash pushes them back a little further than Beam, which could stop a throw punishment, and still leave room for Deadpool to do what he’s going to do. But, it could leave Vergil open for XFC punishment.

This shows the only instant overhead I can find against sentinel. It goes like j.A j.A j.B j.B. For the second j.A you have to delay it a little bit.

This shows a meaty grenade setup I found with deadpool. A grenade from behind pushes your opponent away from the corner allowing you to teleport behind them. After you finish a combo in the corner you have to back dash then throw a grenade so it lands right on the opponent. I also set the opponent to jump in the middle of my combo to show that they can’t chicken block it.

Hey guys I was in the lab this morning and I think I discovered something new w/ DP.
After doing QCF xx+H (bolo) you can do Stars or Pineapple immediately after. I’m pretty sure because bolo leaves DP in the air and he can get 1 projectile off while in that state.What I don’t understand is why I couldn’t get it to work doing stars or pineapple first only bolo for some reason.
In a perfect world we could end our blockstrings in Pineapple>Pineapple for hella chip. lol
Yeah, it’s mainly due to the adjustment they made to his bolo in Ultimate; since he doesn’t travel as far as he used to in Ultimate, he has time to throw another bolo, grenade, or shuriken while in the air. I’ve been using this for the last several months now to create space when I need to come up with a gameplan; it only works for ground bolos.
Got some new Deadpool play up in the critique thread, any points, criticisms, or suggestions anyone would like to make would be greatly appreciated. I’ll repost it her in case people are too lazy to check the other thread:

Anyone have any Deadpool THC tech for the failed teleport?
I was really hoping that Deadpool/Dante could do a THC, failed teleport, then have time to throw a grenade or set up an assist call + L guns xx teleport. Unfortunately, doing the Deadpool/Dante THC then a failed teleport leaves you at a disadvantage. You recover from the failed teleport after they recover from the last hit of Million Dollars, even if they tech roll and you don’t. Instead of doing the failed TP under the cover of the THC you can dash forward and do an overhead after the last hit of Million Dollars then the failed teleport into super but that’s kind of a waste of 4 meters.
You can do it with ammy since it causes a hard knock down. So you can do a combo and THC into the explosion. Although you can only get malfunction xx hyper from it or just malfunction.
Follow-up: Found out can do it with Chris THC too as the grenades and Sweep combo allow you to do overhead or something else after it. This is THC is slightly better too as you can do more from them compared to ammy’s, and you can call an assist afterwards. Where as ammy stays out too long to do Assist, Malfunction or something.
Deadpool/Dante THC stuff? I’ll look into it but it seems like a waste of meter to me. Just doing a failed teleport combo seems like the best method.
Also, I’ve started using Dante’s weasel shot instead of jam sesh. I love the lockdown capabilities and it lets me keep the pressure on with my blockstrings while making them safe and allowing for better mixup opportunities. I saw damian using this dp/dante/strider team awhile ago and improved upon some of the stuff he was doing. I decided that weasel shot works better with my playstyle.
I really wish weasel shot allowed for the bolo glitch because that would give me a reason to use it over jam session. I can see doing THC useful because if you know you won’t kill without a dhc into DT or Million Dollars won’t kill then it lets you get the hypers off and some extra meter.
My idea with the THC was to end a combo with the THC then while Dante was still shooting do the failed teleport. It’s not a bad plan if the THC will kill. I’ll have to check but I think it will give you enough time to recover and do an incoming mixup after the kill. If it does it would be worth doing since it would do much more damage than a normal failed tele combo.
The thing I wanted it to do if the THC did not kill was give enough time that deadpool could do failed teleport right after his super ends, recover, then do assist + L guns xx teleport for a mixup since Million Dollars ends in a knockdown. Unfortunately, there is not enough time for that. Deadpool actually recovers after the opponent.

Has anyone found any good combos off of raw tags as deadpool? I know if you raw tag after a combo into quickwork xx teleport you can FoF with Strange. And I’ve been messing with other chars like my main team with hulk and raw tag into Hulk and ToD.
So far all I know is a combo into the corner katanarama chimichangas to M teleport, raw tag in doom and get a level 3. Not much but it’s something. Also what combo are you doing to get a FoF loop with strange off a hard tag? I’ve been trying to find one for a while now.
