It doesn’t. I prefer to use alpha because it does hit low and causes soft knockdown for combo shenanigans.
Katana-Rama? No, unfortunately it is not.
I’m really struggling to find good incoming character mixups with Deadpool…
Which ones do you guys use?
Well sometimes what I like to do is use a lock down assist like ammy, sent, dante, etc. and while they block it I walk toward them like I’m about to do the overhead, but then I go low or maybe hit low a couple of times and then go into overhead. Oh! Also, one of my favorite things to do it when I finish and enemy and then next one is about to come in I go to the opposite side of the screen and wait there until they pop out. Then I quickly teleport behind them and press :s:, or once again, overhead. You’d be surprised how often it works.
I have a great lockdown assist with Unibeam, so I’ll try those. Thanks man.
Midscreen (facing right for this example): :qcf: :h: xx :rdp: :h:, cr.:l: . I swear to you, this works 95% of the time, because the guns put them in blockstun and keep them in place, but once they land, blockstun is gone. Doesn’t work if they actually get hit by the guns, but if they do, you can go for airthrow or hit them in the air and end with bolo. Even in the corner it works good because after that angled guns, they aren’t really expecting to block low.
With Deadpool and Doom missiles after a character dies i call doom and quickwork across to the other side of the screen and it switches the side that the opponent comes in on just before they enter so that they come in right on top of the rising Doom missiles. Since I play a campier playstyle it lets me gain the desired distance and score an extra little damage if they don’t block correctly.
Hey so I’ve been wanting to use deadpool for a long time, and i finally stopped being lazy to actually do it. So ive been playing joe/dpool/sent. anyway, i figured i would contribute to these boards. Here’s a video FCramp did. I’m sure there’s nothing new there for people that have been playing dpool for a long time, but it’s nice for people just starting with deadpool.

PS- I would love it if one of you could show me how to put things in spoilers so this vid doesnt take up so much space. Thanks. deadpool’s awesome btw but you guys know that already.
People who don’t know how to play Deadpool shouldn’t be making a guide on Deadpool without consulting somebody who has a clue.
That’s all I’m gonna say about that guide.
I actually thought the same thing when I was watching that. I went in expecting some good info and combos that I haven’t seen before and all I got was some crappy day 1 combos.
Usually Fingercramp guides are pretty hit and miss, depending on how overused the character is. And I do not see Deadpool on the list of overused folk.
I tweet Fingercramp telling them their bnbs are outdated, they tweet me asking to show them updated bnbs.
I make a video showcasing the BnBs every deadpool should be using.

They respond:
FingerCramp [S]@[/S]FingerCramp
[S]@[/S]Scourge093 thanks for taking the time but no huge difference a bolo here are there or a bit more meter. Substance over style either way ty
My thoughts: I mean I guess if you want to let Zero or Vergil live, that’s okay. I guess.
Good on ya mate. Also another thing that bothered me about the their video was they mentioned that cutting time was his strongest super. While out side of combos, yes it is. But honestly who uses raw cutting time or for that matter happy happy trigger? In side of combo, a mashed happy happy trigger does more damage than cutting time.
0 frames after the flash for Cutting Time, so you can DHC into it and opponents get hit if they weren’t blocking before.
A pretty pointless gimmick, but I suppose you can abuse that a bit.
Yeah. I lost all hope when they said bolo sucks.
If you guys are looking for some Deadpool inspiration/ gameplay, Reichannman would be your…man. I’m seriously considering Plasma Beam with Deadpool since it does so much for him.

I’m considering dropping Doom missiles and switching them out for plasma beam like I used to use. Then I’d be using Deadpool katanarama/Task arrows/Doom beam. I’ve had my fun with missiles and double overhead combos but really if I can just DHC from Deadpool to Task and get nearly the same damage, I’ll take it.
Edit: I decided on plasma beam and i’m gonna switch between task and strider on anchor. I recorded me testing this out in some ranked matches and I’ll upload them some time tonight or tomorrow.
Wow, Deadpool boards really are dead.

New vid out of boredom. I’ll have another full Deadpool TV episode up some time this week.
Should I do it with commentary or without? Having trouble deciding.
Ah, I’d like to start a topic on how Spencer is Deadpool’s hardest match-up.
Grapple > Guns/Assists
Bionic Arm > Meaty Pressure/Zoning
Spencer j.S >>> Deadpool’s life
Who do you guys find hardest to play against? I’ll try and give my match-up advice.
Off Topic: Anyone cop Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe? Shit is cray. I suggest getting it, resale for it is even cray-er.
I honestly have the most trouble with Vergil. We can’t press him too hard offensively, but then his teleports and retardedly huge sword make guns and gifts unsafe. Normally I have no clue what to do against him so I fish for a hit off the bat and go for the double or triple teleport combo because it does the most damage. Vergil and Dante body me for days, i just zone with vajra assist and hope to get lucky.
Hulk and Haggar are only slightly scary with a good lockdown assist, but if you can establish enough space between you it’s doable.
Off Topic: Holy shit DP kills the marvel universe blew my mind. The new one comes out tomorrow. I want to see wolverine DEAD.
