^ frame data is exactly the same bar one frame added to slide startup (probably to give a slight handicap since we can fadc and super cancel now).

but yes i feel like its different too, it probably has something to do with the way the game reads inputs. cr.shorts feel, as another poster said, ‘crispier’ although they are just the same in terms of frames.

i dont use p linking till just recently if you guys would post of videos and share your wealth should be food for knowledge for the new comers and some visual aid for guys like me who been playing for a bit but not familiar with it.

Is c.lk, s.lk, s.hk or some variation still his best meterless damage

And is super cancel off of fp psycho or hk scissors best in terms of damage?

That’s not an FADC. He got hit out of PC with the rose taunt dudley threw earlier.

Most of Bison’s combos are the same, though if you wanted slightly more damage, you use hp. crusher to finish anywhere where you could use hk. scissors. Scissors generally gives you better positioning and more time to reapproach though.

Bison has tons of hit confirms, but his only true block string is c.lp, cs.lp, c.lk, lk.scissors
Which you can hit confirm into c.lp, cs.lp, c.mk, fp. crusher or hk. scissors.

j.fp instead of j.hk

c.mp, s.hk does more damage, but you would have to use it as a punish because c.mp is hard to use at the range where s.hk would combo.

Cancelling off of hk scissors almost always does more damage, but the difference shrinks as scaling kicks in. The reason is fp crusher does more damage up front, but you lose the slide damage from the super.

That’s the same way i feel… to be honest, we don’t have a fadc to ultra, but pp shuts down fire ball games, which is a good thing, headstomp, devil reverse and skull diver has very limited use, sigh i dont want to switch characters because i’ve been maining bison ever since the turbo days… but sometimes i wonder. A lot of our moves dont have priority…

The rest of us aren’t even doing bad with Bison. If you feel the character doesn’t suit your style then go switch. Nobody is pointing a gun at your head.

His moves all work fine as they’re intended. I have not run into anything imbalanced. DR and HS are ambiguous bait tools. If your opponents aren’t falling for them, use something else and walk forward. That’s it. Just walk forward and stop using DR/HS to advance across the screen. They’re great but if you have people back dashing and back peddling, it’s not going to work.

I have to strongly disagree with anyone who says Bison’s moves don’t have good priority. He has arguably the best cr. LK and st. MK in the game, and st. HK is top 3 easily. Round that out with his other normals that are ‘good’ although not near the top in the game, specifically cr. MP and cr. MK and it is hard to argue that Bison’s moves don’t have good priority.

a few players have better cMK’s, such as shoto’s, and any character who’s cMK can slide (ie-Rose, Cody, etc)

fuck man, i saw the rose in the LAST setup, but not this time (and i watched it like 4 times). Fucking stop showing dudley rose setups…they’re cool, but fuck right off, seriously.

I keep hoping for another way to combo into NMB, so I can actually use it again and not just for nostalgia.

So two small questions from someone who so far isn’t skilled enough to find the answers themselves:

  1. In vanilla if you caught an opponent at just the right spot in their jump arc with EX HS, you could actually combo an EX SC right after for some rather absurd damage. Is it just me or have they made this a lot harder to do? It was a reallllllllllly rare scenario before that probably only ever mattered in one match out of the few i have played, but i don’t remember having this much trouble with it.

  2. The reason i’m asking is because i seem to recall some talk of possibly being able to combo NMB after it, if it wasn’t a charge motion. Well with PP not requiring charge it seems like it might be possible to hit the EX stomp, EX SC, and then throw PP. The thing that’s killing me is i seem to be completely incapable of stringing together whats essentially an easy combo. Normally i miss the EX SC, but should i manage to hit it i’ll somehow blow the stupid PP. Either way even if this pans out i don’t think it’d ever be even remotely useful, but now i’m obsessed with finding an answer and figured i’d seek some help from those who can actually land things.

I’m in the same boat brother… except with any of his ultras.I keep looking for something that will work but nope nothing so far, and I know my execution is good enough that I should be able to test effieciently. Wait I forgot… I wonder if AA PC fadc will combo into PP? I’m gonna go test it now.

Has anyone tested if Slide > FADC > U1 is a combo or bombo?

slide is a knockdown, thus wouldn’t be able to combo into anything after.

sorry to bring it up again, but was the conversation at the start of this page (page 48) stating that plinking is the best way to land cLK x 3?

More of an explanation of what plinking was in the first place … but yeah, it spawned from the question of landing c.LKx3

this is rather random, but anyone else notice Bison can chain a cr.jab into a cr.short? I’ve noticed this while playing online and trying to do a BnB cr.jabx2, cr.short xx lk scissors (I stick with this combo due to lag). Its a rather weird property…

And yes, it seems that all combos we used to end with HK scissors we should now use FP Crusher. Despite the superior positioning HK scissors gives you, FP Crusher is so buff now it should be the go to choice.
