I didn’t say there was a speed boost, I am talking about there a slight change in inputs speed and Im not the only one who has noticed.
I’ve wanted to say this for awhile but I think I already have (or something like it) a long time ago. I can do c.lk clp pretty easily in training but I’m not confident enough to do it in any match yet.
Also as my crossup combo and focus combo I’m starting to do c.lp, s.lk c mk xx … so that it becomes so easy its basically routine and all I’ll have to worry about is starting off with c.lk in certain situations.
yup ^, but I personally use st.close fierce xx roundhouse scissors for crumple combos. its just better damage.
I’ve also been on the whole ‘maximizing damage’ tip, trying to hit-confirm into big damage combos instead of settling for c.short strings. I spent most of SF4 playing Sim, so my hit-confirm is straight up gaaahbage.
Specifically, I’m trying to do ‘c.short, s.short, c.forward xx rh sk,’ and ‘c.jab xx close s.jab, c.strong xx f pc.’
Shit is hurting my game atm, but hopefully it works itself out.
Bison combo challenge
This combo is for hard links, technique and timing, its not practical at all, post a vid response of you doing this combo, will be interesting how many of you can do it :P
The combo is as follows >
j . hp > sc . hp > cc . lk > light Scissor > FADC > cc . lp > sc . lp > sc . lk > cc . mk > medium Scissor > FADC > cc . lp > sc . lp > sc . lk > sc . hk

Have fun!!! this combo is very tricky, trust me lol
cr.lp, st.lp, cr.mk to scissors: Hk scissors doesn’t work with this one correct? because I have only been able to get lk and mk scissors to work with it for some reason.
nvm, I got it to work, it was just my fingers not contorting well enough to get the input right at the time.
Actually the timing window seems quite large, seriously I tried using them as I would a chain combo (hitting lk while lk is hitting your opponent) and they still combo’d. It seems like the recovery on them has been given a Boost.
Anyways, cr. lp, st. lp, cr. mp xx HP PC is the new cr. lp, st. lp, cr. mk xx hk sk, does about 20-30 more damage.
Although if I get a focus crumple I still go for St. HP xx HK SK to push them into the corner, and it still does massive damage.
hmmm I’m a try it out like dat once I get back home.
mayne the damage is just the icing, the real prize is the stun, I been able to stun em online catz every round, these dudes keep kicking me out of every endless battle I’ve played.
the Lv2 crumble cr HP xx HK SK or PC still doesn’t work on Chun, back in sf4 and now in super, I just go for Cr Mp, HP PC or SK or Cr Mp, Cr Mk, HP Pc.
As for maximizing out on damage I use St HP instead of round house, for those punishes when you don’t have any charge. and Cr HP for aniti air, since these two have not been damage nerfed. not to mention crhp makes it hard for Chun.
hey flashy , this is exactly what i have already been doing lol…doing sets of ten and seeing how much times i can land it. i do like ten reps ten times and do that sequence 5 times for like 500 reps. after a few days my consistency really went up
good shit mang^
and on st.cl.jab to cr.strong link, it’s actually really easy if you just plink it, been doing it more on hit confirms now and going into roundhouse scissors.
how exactly do i plink…is it press cr.strong and cr.jab at once? if so, i have tried that and the timing doesn’t seem any easier than just using the cr.strong alone
no its cr.jab slightly after cr.strong ideally 1frame appart but it adds an extra frame to link the two together in a combo.
yeah mang, just do cr.strong with like your middle finger then tap cr.jab with your index, relatively fast though. i do the input at almost the same timing as i would do close standing jab to cr.mk. i can plink that really easily but for some reason i cant plink s.short to s.rh for shit but i can do it more consistently without the plink, but im going to practice more when i get super. goddamn you all btw.
To hit combos, its all about a feeling for me, is hard to explane, im sure its same with everyone, you just get instinct on when to press it, but you have to practise it for a while before it clicks, like everything.
cross up MK,cJab, sJab, cStrong X PC = 264
cross up MK,cJab, sJab, cFoward X SK = 248
Not to sure which leaves you at better position yet. PC seems it leaves you in a nice cross up range if they don’t tech roll should be free
for some weird reason cForward whiffs on guy. so cStrong is better in that way
My guess would be he has a skinny hitbox, like Rog in SF4. This drives me nuts, along with c.lk’s that whiff in-between the legs of characters who spread them wide, Rufus for one, although hopefully this has changed somehow.
Not taking accounts PC crossups:
IF they are in/near the corner, stick to SK. Otherwise, PC would be fine. I think PC still does more sun as well.
How dope is it that you can now FADC out of Dictators slide/sweep now!!? Lol.
im liking cLK. I cant quite put my finger on it, but it seems to work better. Linking cLk’s together, and cLK to cLP is so much easier now.
so… if you can fadc out of slide, is slide now special cancelable?
