Dictator Combo Thread: He rules with an Iron Fist...of Energy!

Hmm, I haven’t tested it on everybody in training mode but I’ve pulled it off a decent amount online. Have you tried it on somebody and it didn’t work? You might miss a link here and there if you tried to turbo it in training mode because it is not perfect consistency anyhow

I also have to note in this edit that the combo works on everyone, I just tested it in training mode. Like many jump in combos, you must jump in and slide into the closest spot possible. There’s no sense to try and jump in when you’re too far away.

na, it ain’t. But im not a fan of it anymore. my fav combo just because I like tackin on dem hits is cr.lp, cs.lp, s.lk, cr.mk XX heavy or EX PC or SK. feels good man.:smokin:

yup, nothing new but I do this just for shits when I land a FA. Sure standing fierce xx hk scissors or standing fierce, cr. lk xx scissors is nice, but there’s something satisfying about keeping a long combo going and this one is a lot of fun.

I think my favorite combo is either the one delicious mentioned, dashing up to your opponent and landing cr.lks into scissors, or cr.lp, st.lp, cr.mp xx whatever.

Jump in cr. mp, cr. mk xx whatever is nice and is really easy to get down but I’d rather do some of the above when I can. I love cr.lks into scissors even though it does crap damage. Sometimes I even do it off of focus crumples just so that I have a lot of in-game practice with that combo, it’s Bison’s most important bnb after all.

Hell yes, I do my best to land the cr.lk X3 to scissors or the above combo whenver I can. To be honest I don’t even do cr.lp(lk) cs.lp(lk) cr.lk(mk) XX whatever anymore because that above combo is so much more fun. btw that possible character specific combo up above is trully a pain in the ass for me right now. it really doesn’t feel worth it considering all the other damage options we have. toss it on the back burner people, do if you can/when you can for shitz n giggles.

Been in the lab got CL.HP , HK SCISSOR FADC cancel st.lk, st.hk for 300 damage
and CL.HP ,HK SCISOR FADC ST.LK,ST.LK, CR.MK, HK SCISSOR for 332 damage.

those fadc’s are good stuff!

CL.HP xx HK Scissors does 250. Is burning 2 bars really worth that extra damage?

I could be wrong (borrowing my buddies 360 tonight though), but i think you can cMK cMK combo on counter too,

you can link c.mp into c.mk?? I thought that was only possible off a crumple. Right now I auto most j.hk into c.mk** scissors but c.mp is probably better since it has more range.

I also get into the bad habit of using c.lk * 3 too much just because its the easiest combo to sneak in with its priority. its also by far the easiest to FADC into. C.lp links can’t be ignored though, they deal over twice the damage, c.lk does hardly more than a throw. whiffed dp = dash in c.lp link. versus bison’s blocked ultra, if you don’t have ultra yourself dash in c.lp link is prob the best punish.

sry, how am i supposed to do that? do i just have to input the dash real quick that i do not lose the charge?

Right before the focus attack hits, do the dash input (not too early, as you don’t want to dash before the FA). Then, immediately go to downback. You should already be holding downback when the FA connects. It’s important that you go to downback, as you will walk backwards after the dash if you just hold back, and may get s.hp instead of close s.hp. Assuming you timed the dash right, you will dash forward with a back charge. At that point you would do the close s.hp > scissor kick as normal.

If I cross-up with bison with a jumping mp… what can I combo with afterwards…

I tried cr.lp, cr.lp cr.lk -> scissor kick
but the last cr.lk doesn’t connect. I tried 3x lk too… the last lk doens’t connect either…

If the mk doesn’t crossup I can actually connect with the two above mentioned combo.

c.lp, s.lp, c.mk xx scissors is pretty standard after a cross up. Just remember to charge in the right direction before you land.

You need to work on spacing your cross ups better. You want to basically land right on top of the other person. This gives you better positioning for a combo, and makes the jump more ambigous so that it’s harder to see if you are crossing up or not.

A good ‘long range’ combo is cr.lp st.lk cr.mk > scissor kick. It’s a little harder than the basic cr.lp cr.lp cr.lk > scissors, but you can land the cr.mk kick from further away, and combo into hk scissors after it for more damage. It’s also better than cr.lp st.lp cr.mk > scissors in this particular case, since if you aren’t close to your opponent you will get a regular st.lp instead of a close st.lp, and the link into cr.mk is 1 frame after regular st.lp. The timing on this combo won’t change based off of distance.

I was checking out battlefieldArcadia on the stream early today and while I was watching a match that involved Andre’s team, there was talk about the short, short, scissor kick combo not being safe on block, when facing a char who has a DP.

Is this true or false?
