can anyone contribute their favourite non charge combos? which ones do you find the most practical use for

up real close: cr.lp, s.lp, s.lk, s. rh

any variation of the above so long as there is a s.lk to link into a roundhouse

simply s.lk to roundhouse, up to two s.lks i think before you get too far to link a third one.

cr. mp to standing roundhouse

and the most difficult but best no charge punish or combo is standing fierce, standing lk to roundhouse

I’ve been trying a combo that I saw Kuma abusing. It’s FA dash forward-standing close fierce cancel into scissors. I am having trouble getting enough charge time for the scissors. I usually go for FA dash forward standing close fierce/crouching short cancel into scissors but it is a hard link. Is there a different way of getting a charge so I can bypass the crouching short and go straight into scissors from the standing close fierce?

It’s not too tough once you get it down. Try this: you know the combo in trials where it’s a jump in fierce, standing fierce psycho-crusher? (I think it’s a psycho crusher, it might be scissors). But anyways, the timing is the same for cancelling from a standing fierce to scissors, minus the jump in fierce. The time you’d be spending charging during the jump in fierce is replaced by the charge time after you input dash after a focus attack. If you do the dash input as soon as possible during the focus attack, then you’ll have plenty of time to charge.

anyone else starting to use cr.lp, s.lp, cr.mp xx scissors more often? the cr.mp does a bit more damage.

Outside of practice can anyone give any tips for doing cr. lk? I’m having a hard time consistently linking them in game. I can somewhat do in training, but my execution is still pretty bad

There’s no trick to it. There’s no way to tell you how to do it, it’s all about practice and muscle memory.

MY current favorite combo atm, I"m sure it’s up there somewhere.

j.MK, cr.LP, st.LK, st.LK, st.HK - 217 damage, and about 425 stun I think.

only 345 stun

j.HK, c.MP, c.MK xx hk SK - 327dmg, 485 stun
j.HP, s.HP xx HK scissors = 334 dmg & 520 stun

Best meter-less jump in combos I could find <3 Timing is strict (1rst) but its well worth it imo… The first one is the best cross-up combo while the second one won’t allow enough time to get a charge (crossing up with j.HP is hard enough already), but does provide for the highest stun/dmg.

edit: bleh, j.HP, s.HP xx HP PS = 334 & 560 stun, though it does put you in the corner…

edit2: hm, if you have meter to waste for super:

j.HP (deep), c.HP xx Super 492dmg, 414stun

If you’re fooling around in training mode:

j.HP, cs.HP xx HK scissors (1-hit) xx super

Does like 524 if I recall correctly.

Hmm, I can’t quite get c.HP to cancel into scissors~

After a lvl2 FA crumble, as your opponent kneels on the floor, you can hit him with anything and he’ll backflip (is that what you call a reset?) and while in the air you can headstomp him. Your opponent does have very little time to block/backdash, but if he does you can retreat in the air after the HS. If your opponent calls it, you could also empty devil’s instead and grab him has he his holding back… Thought it was an interesting mix-up, though it doesn’t quite take advantage of the free punish opportunity.

cs.hp is close standing fierce. I guess a lot of people aren’t familiar with the notation.

J.hp, cs.hp, st.lk, cr.mk, heavy SK/PC is the best meter-less combo Bison has, however it is character specific. I have listed the characters it works on on P.35

New favorite jump in combo j.HP or j.HK cr.MP cr.MK xx MK/HK SK, does about 325 damage. It’s fancy looking, and especially nice to pull off if you’re not close enough to do j.HK/j.HK close st.HP xx Psycho Crusher for 337 damage.

I got bored and decided to test what combos work on Sagat. The following do:

Cs.hp, st.lk, st.lk, st.hk

Cr.mp, st.lk, st.lk, st.hk

Cr.mp, cr.lp, st.lk, st.hk

J.hk x-up/deep j.mk x-up, cs.hp, st.lk, st.hk

J.hk x-up/j.mk x-up, cr.mp, st.lk, st.hk

Cs.hp, cr.mp, st.hk (off counter-hit)

Add them to your arsenal.

I think that combo is char specific.
If you ever get cocky do ex skull driver xx cr.mp xx cr.mk xx hk sk it’s like 360 damage.
