When you headstomp the opponent cross him over for a little and then charge back again so that you’ll hit him with the skull diver while charging and at the same time keeping a short distance.Can’t do it consistently though,most of the time i do low short x2 xx lk scissors after a skull diver.
Yeah already thought so… but dimissed that thought because I can’t imagine myself doing this consistently (like you said).
I mean hitting with Skull Diver is already difficult enough online… but crossing up first, then going back and still hitting … :looney:
Yeah online can mess you up but I always try to hit them while crossing them up with the skull diver so I guess I am used to it.When I forget to keep my charge though I just proceed and grab them while they are still in BLOO FLAMEZ!!!111:wgrin:
if u do the normal or ex version for me doing s.lk, cr.mk xx scissors is easy and a lot more damaging than cr.lk x2 xx lk scissors… the s.hp whiffs unless the skull diver landed at the very last moment and also u have to land right next to the opponent… so not worth the risk in a match imo… what i still have to try is cr.mp, cr.mk xx scissors after skull diver… if i can connect it then it should do more damage than s.hp…
EDIT: just did - skull diver, cr.mp, cr.mk xx hk scissors… normal version 347 dmg and ex version 387 dmg… holy shit… sems like this is the string i need to practice getting all the time… who said bison doesn’t do big damage…???
CensoredX: if u don’t have charge after skull diver just do cr.mp, s.hk… it still does decent damage…
I am trying to find more damaging combos to punish with.
So far I have been using cl.s fierce> HK scissors. It has mixed results, as in sometimes I just get a far standing fierce and can’t follow up with scissors. Just need practice.
Anyways, is cr. mp > cr. mk> hk scissors worth learning? I find the link between the normals kinda tight but I think it does slightly more damage.
What do you guys think? stick with the first one or should I get this link down?
Maybe your execution is better than mine but I can’t get the cr. mk to link reliably enough to use that as a bread and butter. cr. shorts/jabs is much easier to link the cr. mk.
I have no problem with the cr.mk, my biggest problem is sometimes moving the stick way too much, jumping backwards instead of doing a standing jab.
Don’t get it twisted, I can barely do it myself- Im not even gonna get started about online.
I just like the damage it did and wondered if it was worth perfecting. Im looking for more ways to make it count if I catch my opponent slipping.
I also like the range. Sometimes I am not close enough and the cr/st jab will whiff, which sometimes means I would have to dash foward and do a non-charge combo.
Yeh perhaps a bit too impractical to use as standard b&b I guess. The threat of having my c.foward blocked or eating a reversal shoryuken for my troubles is too great.

cr. MP -> cr. MK -> HK scissors is sort of worth learning because its the most damaging combo bison has. That doesn’t mean its his BnB though, it just means thats what you should be doing after you stun their ass (Lv 3 FA, dash forward -> cr. MP -> cr. MK -> HK scissors). Personally I do Close HP -> HK scissors after a stun because its much easier for me. cr. MP -> cr. MK -> HK scissors does like 5 more points of damage, though.
ya it does a little more dmg… but it does give u a little more time to charge than s.hp… so i think if u r punishing a whiff or comboing after fa hit it’s really worth learning… but if u are trying to rush down and keep pressure on than cr.lp or cr.lk is a lot better… cause cr.mp is too slow 7 frames anyways i wanna try out this string and see if it’s possible… if so even if it will be hard as hell to master it’s gonna be very practical in real matches…

I thought that cr.mp into cr.mk only connects if the cr.mp counterhits?
timing isn’t as strict on counter hit but it’s still possible to combo c.mp>c.mk without c.mp being a counter hit
You have to be REALLY close to land c.strong c.forward scissors combo. Definitely not the easiest link to land in a match. I do find c.strong s.rh easier.
I recently got quite consistent in doing the cMP, cMK xx HK KP/HP PC link so I always go for it in matches when I see a chance, I love the damage/stun on that. And I even do that after a crossup if I hit deep enough, damage is crazy good. Definitely worth to master the timing.
But I should get some things, like… is it character specific? Last day I was playing against a Boxer and in the few chances I was close enough to try that, after the cMP landed the cMK whiffed… and one of those was after a FAlv2, dash up. Maybe I should test it more… I hope I’m wrong, this combo is so good that needs to work on everyone
I played 20 matches against Stuckey’s various cast of characters and was pleased to realize I’ve gotten down his j.mk, cr. lp, st. lp, cr. mk xx knee press down to about 80% of the time. Muscle memory is finally taking over.
i think it works on everyone… but if u prees cr.mk too slow then it will whiff… also i should try it after a cross up… i usually go for cr.lp or cr.lk stuff… after an FA i think is the best time to do this string… cause as DS said if u start off even a little far away then u’ll whiff… i think that’s where cr.mp, s.hk is good… 200 dmg…
Been looking for some nice combos ending with a PC, just because it looks bad ass
Found one, that’s pretty easy to do and does decent damage (252 dmg, 450 stun)
j.mk, c.lp, s.lp, c.mp xx m.PC
I think I’ll use this in between the BnB ending with c.mk xx h.SK (251 dmg, 350 stun, right?)

If I’m not wrong, any combo that ends with Scissors Kick, can be replaced by Psycho Crusher instead.
