Diablo 3? Oh god yes…just please tell me they try and balance the game and don’t make the Sorc and Amazon over powered to shit in PvP.
the assassin maybe? The D2 Assassin was alright. My friend built a ridiculous one that was easy to play and very damaging, revolved around the teleport kick. He also made a supremely broke Frost Sorceress that kept teleporting and shooting ice shards and shit. Couldn’t catch him worth a damn since he was going so fast.

You’re completely wrong in that statement. Farcast amazons are the best characters in Diablo two, as well as windy druids. Unless you’ve got some uber auradin or other haxed up character, druids can out-do paladins most of the time. Granted, Farcast is still a hack, charged strike is still one of the best moves in the game. Auradins can be easily outdone if you have the right sorb gear.
My lvl 88 windy dru duels hammerdins all the time, and the only ones I ever have trouble with, are the ones who have B.O. barb bots along with TMC and A.A.
FC Zons just get sorbed so they’re kind of pointless and get gangbanged in duels by everyone else and nk’d nonstop if they don’t leave.
Windy is top but not best.
Barb stands alone at god tier and bone nec is a close second but people can’t afford gear so they just stick to cheaper and easier top tiers like windys and hammers etc.
Anyways, with mh, tmc, aa, at, bots, etc you can’t really take the game seriously.
One side of me says Diablo 3 will be pointless because it will degrade to scripts and item shops while another side says OMFG DIABLO 3 ZOMG!!!11111oneone
The game will likely not come out for at least 3 years and I’m hoping it does not get cancelled.
On a side note, anyone notice how much Diablo 3 has in common with Mythos?
Also for the aspect of everyone used to play Diablo back then, everyone was still in school back then. Nowadays people have college/work/etc so don’t expect everyone to all of a sudden start playing Diablo 3 like they used to when Diablo 2 came out.

You’re wrong, Barbs lose most of the time against ranged, even if they’re BVC. There’s only a few barbs I know of who can ezpk an above average, competent caster.
As for Windy Druids being cheap gear wise… LOL are you kidding? Ya, it’s easy to half-ass a wind druid and still do average damage, but when done right, the tornado helmets alone cost more than many people’s accounts. I know for a fact, that the circlet I use on my druid is worth a crap-load. The colored 5-7 nado helms are worth almost as much as a near perfect grief on non-ladder.
Hammerdins… ya they’re just easy to build and get gear for, except for the perfect hoz.
I don’t know about you, but many people who hack take the game seriously. I’m not one of those people though.

I played Diablo(PSX) up until The Butcher(couldn’t beat him) and never played D2. Is there like a noobs guide to D2 or something like that?

def legit complaint. diablo has a distinct art style to it. will it stop me from playing the game if its too bright and chipry? nah.

I didn’t play Diablo 2 much because I was in college at the time and didn’t want to get my life consumed with it the way I had with Diablo 1. I had a maxed out sorcerer in diablo one and played quite a bit. Sorcerer sucked until you got good armor and equipment and passed about level 30, then oh how the tides turned.
