Fireball recovery too: It’s still very difficult to link FA lev.2 after a b.hp xx fire LP.

I’m trying to make life worth using db.hp in some combos or strategies.
I find db.hp, db.mp xx flame lp very good, with an incredible damage (258), but works only against 8 chars (Gouken, Hakan, T.Hawk, Zangief, Sagat, Cammy, Dhalsim, Blanka) nad you’ve to be really close to them, so it’s a punish combo.

sup man :smiley: literally the only time i can land rh upflame is during blankas ultra when hes at med range…where the first low stun frame misses you. and that never happens. ever lol

[Most damaging and doable in game]
Dhalsim get so many new buff on SSF4 and because of combo damage scaling works. Longer combo not always mean higher damage.

exemple:

Back hp, mp flame , super = 490 damage
HP flame, super = 520 damage

Dhalsim is so good now. You know what works? This works: mid range, opponent throws fireball, Sim does jump instant short drill on reaction, DRILL HITS AND IS SAFE. Am I playing ST?

I’m still not convinced about this new ultra, but we’ll see. Antiair is nice, it’s a nice threat in pressure and against fireballs, and it has some limited mixups, but I’m just not sure it’s worth losing the antiair, combo to super, and kickass mixups of u1.

I have actually used the lk trick u are talking about a lot lately in ssf4, and I agree that it is good… When however, does Dhalsim want to shorten his distance to the enemy to get a free mix up? Wouldn’t keeping space be more important? I only do it because I am agressive, and not that suited to use Dhalsim (In Vanilla atleast:P)

I think U2 is going to be really character specific. I think it’ll actually be better for matches with ground game heavy characters like Rog where it can snag him out of dash punches if you set it up like a snipe. If you’re psychic you can actually pull him out of headbutt before rog leaves the ground.

Jumping back on a balrog with ex meter could be dangerous before, because of ex upper, but with ultra 2, totally safe:P

Yeah, that might be a good point. And I’m not sure you’re playing him wrong, I think he has more offensive ability now. It’s not just drills, it’s that he does more damage, has more life and stun, and everyone else does less damage and some characters have less life and stun.

But yeah, short drill over low tigers is good.

He has more health and stun?! Really? Then I see your point… I saw Arturo playing SSF4 Dhalsim really agressive sometimes, and it payed off, so maybe you are right! I hope so… It would fit my playstyle perfectly!
