uh i am assuming for the sake of the plot that the mitchell family is going to think that dexter was working undercover and shit considering he told them that it would be over soon and then was standing around the scene with a badge around his neck
and anyone who thinks dexter is going to be stuck with three kids is crazy, astor and cody are almost definitely getting shipped off with their grandparents
Just saw the season finale. . .and I have to admit, it was pretty good. The episode did a good job of showing how Dexter had developed from vigilante killer, to vigilante killer with a conscience + family, and the incompatibility of the two.
I wish the season focused a lot more on the battle between Trinity and Dexter. . .they could have extended that for one more episode instead of the pointless focus on LaGuerta’s relationship with Angel.
Hopefully next season will be even better than this one. Maybe it’s just because I’m getting jaded, but the quality of the seasons has been decreasing slightly each year. Dexter’s still an awesome show though.
I’m probably one of the few that didn’t like the finale. The whole episode felt rushed. It was as if the writers were just now realizing they opened up too many plot threads and tried to close them all at once. Instead of the episode building to each major scene, it felt like a clip show made up of two episodes. Due to this rushed feeling, none of the scenes had any impact on me. Overall I enjoyed the season, yet the finale was weak.
For some reason, the ending didnt really feel right to me. I think its because i kinda expected it but also it seems like dexter didnt seem to be TOO sad. I wouldve expected more emotions from him since this is a big thing.

That last shot was enough to show how much rita’s death affected him. You dont immediately breakdown and cry and shit when something that UNEXPECTED happened. You sit down in extreme shock, trying to figure things out because it seems so unreal. They didnt show much but we should be able to predict how fucked dexter’s feeling at that moment.
Plus, expecting normal human emotion, from dexter? What show you’ve been watching? He’s trying, sure, but he wont be transformed immediately just because someone he cared about died. Or maybe he will but we have to wait for next season to see that because the finale cuts off almost immediately after he found out the body and picked up his son and sit his ass down in disbelief. For all i know, he’s devastated as hell.
Finally sat and watched the last three episodes.

All in all very nice season as they got rid of dead weight no charisma black guy and lundy so deb will spend the next season banging Quinn till dex kills his ass.

It’s beyond annoying all of these people that I know in real life who have watched every episode of Dexter BUT the last episode and don’t let me talk about it. Like what the hell, it’s been weeks already. Bust out your TIVOs, VCRs or wherever you have it recorded, take a break from watching crappy reality shows that rerun every episode 1,000 times and watch it already GAWD! :annoy:
