Season 5!!!

yeah i saw the first 2 episodes already and i like it. at the end of last season, i thought there wasn’t much else to do. But it seems good so far. I wish the sister was hotter. I don’t like the girl.

Great show. I loved the last season, especially the finale. From what i heard, they’re taking the series in a different direction from the books. So the other books after first won’t be apart of the series. At least in the way they are in book.

I’d have raped Dee-Dee out of sheer annoyance. And Dexter’s voice always kept me from liking the show. He sounds utterly…you know makes limp-wrist motionI do like the ep where the Princess Ponies were going toe-to-toe with the Gi Joe rip-offs…it was like a Hasbro fighting game or something. Dudes getting pony-bit, and ponies getting swung on. Beautiful.

Hell yes, Dexter was one of the two things(Entourage being the other) I watched on TV.Cannot WAIT for this!

I hadn’t heard of this show until I decided to look up where my “I love Dexter” pin with the blood stain heart came from.

I think I’ll check out the first episodes or something. I’m bored.

The show is okay, nothing special; I watched the first couple of episodes, they were alright, and didn’t bother watching the rest of the season when someone told me about the series late last year.

“Dexter” is simply too simple, straightforward, and predictable for me to really like it. The director and actors do a great job with what they’re given, but ultimately, you have an unoriginal idea, stereotypical characters, and conventional plot lines.

If the second season turns out to be more exciting and unpredictable, let me know. But I doubt it.

I think the best part about the show is it’s original idea, non-stereotypical characters, and unconventional plot lines. What show do you think Dexter mirrors, what the fuck?

The character development (or lack thereof) is fucking fantastic.

lmao

I mean seriously, what show are you watching?

What’d you want Dexter to be? did you want a “Oh what a twist!” ala Shyamalan ?

“Dexter is actually…A MARTIAN!!!”

Jimmy Neutron copped Dexter’s shit HARD.

Anyway, yeah, I liked the original seasons alot. Pretty good stuff. After the animation style changed though, I felt the series lost alot of it’s charm and I couldn’t get into it anymore. It seemed different and alot less entertaining to me.

The ending for the second book is very interesting. I don’t watch the show, but I hope it is more faithful to that one than it was for the ending of the first.

Are you guys for real?

well shit… I wasn’t sure whether it was the cartoon or not so I didn’t post

i love this show i cant wait for season 2 this show is seriously slept on

lulz ~
Yeah, actually. ‘Dexter’ immediately triggered Dexter’s Lab to me, and it’s not unlike SRK to have threads devoted to animated series. xd

I think I’ve heard of this Dexter though, it’s about a psychopath/murderer who cooperates with police to track other killers isn’t it?

Bullshit. Are you fucking kidding me?

The hardass, foul-mouthed black cop? The incompetent, gullible female characters? The introverted, tough main character who suddenly becomes a limp-dicked nancy boy in the middle of the first season, for no apparent reason?

These are your “original, non-stereotypical characters”?

Are you also one of those people who thinks “The Brave One” is the first film about a vigilante?

The acting in “Dexter” is excellent, and the direction is very good. It’s not a bad show by any means. It’s probably better than 90% of the original programming out there right now, and I watched half the first season without getting seriously bored.

But spare me the fanboy bullshit praise this show seems to get from people for no particular reason.

Tell me again; what is so original and excellent here?

It’s a decent, watchable show, nothing more.

my favorite episode was when he bought the giant burrito and thought hed die after eating the whole thing

What the fuck? You just said it yourself… it’s better than 90% of the original programming… if it’s better than 90% of the original programming, HOW THE FUCK IS IT NOT ORIGINAL?

Coming from someone who’s only watched a couple of episodes, your view isn’t really valid. Especially seeing that you seem to have misunderstood the few that you did see. Dexter never turned “nancy-boy”. He’s forcing himself to act “normal” so that the people in his life close to him never suspect his dual identity. On the inside, he’s still the hardboiled psychopath.

Seriously, fuck your elitism. It’s a great show, and fully deserving of the praise it gets. Sorry it’s not up to your amazingly high standards. Nobody’s saying it’s the greatest show ever made, I don’t even understand why you’re taking this up like a personal grudge. DON’T WORRY. THE WORLD UNDERSTANDS YOU DON’T LIKE DEXTER, BUT WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION IRREGARDLESS.

I used the word in two different contexts. “Original programming” in the sense that it’s not a reality show, and “original” in the sense that there is actually something unique about it…and no, there’s none of the latter in “Dexter”.

Thus, “Roseanne” is original programming, but sure as fuck isn’t original.

Fuck you, you elitist dipshit. Just because I don’t share your ridiculous over-praise of the series doesn’t mean my view is invalid.

Besides, how many one hour episodes does it take for someone’s opinion to be valid according to the All-Knowing, Great Desi Canadian? I’d usually say one or two, but according to you, it takes an entire season’s worth, or twelve full hours, to appreciate things, right?

I’ve watched seven hours. For most non-pricks, that’s a pretty goddamn valid opinion.

Yeah? Why the fuck does he suddenly start sparing villains about midway through?

Funny, I called you an elitist prick before even reading that.

Believe it or not motherfucker, not everyone thinks this show is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and you’re simply being a prick by calling out anyone who disagrees, especially since you can’t actually type out anything relevant or articulate about the show’s supposed “originality”.

I talk a lot of shit on these forums (and so do you), but one thing I HAVE NEVER DONE is insult someone for disagreeing with me about music, movies, or television shows.

That’s so subjective, that I try to leave it strictly to talk about the series, and leave anything personal out of it.

But then again, we have yourself, Mr. Self-Proclaimed Ass, telling people they’re idiots for not sharing your enthusiasm and love for “Dexter”.

How about you actually discuss the series and its merits, if it’s so great?

Oh, I forgot; that would be too mentally taxing, since it requires actual thinking.
