Anyway, I love the show, although the books are oh so much better, his code in the series does in my opinion seem to flip quite quickly and he has no problem with killing his brother. INVISIO TEXT FOR BOOK SPOILER!

Throughout the first book he fights more with himself or the dark passenger as it is known there, and there are numerous changes, his brother never starts seeing Deb, the photo thing never happens and many other little things. The main big things are that Laguertta starts to catch on to Dexter to and the Climax results in Dexter almost wanting to kill Deb while Deb is awake, Laguertta busts in to see the whole scene, Dex’s bro kills her and escapes with a bullet wound to the gut while Deb is left knowing the truth.

The second book was fantastic, blue the first out of the water, the killer is well done and the finale superb, leaving Doakes without Hands/Feet or a tongue leaves Dexter to play again.
The third book is hitting THIS week and I eagerly anticipate it.
As for the show, I have to admit I do indeed find THE PREMISE original, there may be cliche characters there, but they’re needed for the general audiance, gotta get those numbers eh? They couldn’t follow the book too closely as it would be a little too dark otherwise they’d be a bit deeper.
I’ve heard the same thing from people who have read the books and then watched the series. Guess I might need to check them out.

I recently started watching this show to gain some common ground with a female I’ve been wanting to get at, and I have to say it’s been pretty enjoyable so far.
I really liked the first season. It danced between cheesy and gruesome really well, I thought. I’ll have to start catching up on Season 2 soon.

I just wanted episode 5, and when they started zooming up, I was like “how can Dexter roll cancel this”, I cant wait for next week. And I’m def. gonna check out the books tomorrow (I know theres major differences, and I need a good read) hope they don’t mess up a good thing though. This show only needs 3 seasons and thats it. End a good thing on a good note.
