I hate Doakes, soo much.
I seriously think that actress is bona fide freakadeek in real life. Somethings she can “act” too well.
Yum
Spoiler
The part after the sex scene when Dex puts his hand on her chest and she moves it to one of her right tit was zomg!:wow:
Let’s just say Million might replace his tv/computer if he sees this show.
Only the first season followed the book. Although, the ending was vastly different. From this season on ward, they’re going in a completely different direction from the books.
Dexter is by far one of the better, well-written, consistent shows that I’ve seen recently. Unfortunately, whenever I tell my friends about it, they either have no idea of what I’m talking about, or they refuse to watch it. They’re missing out.
The one thing that I have a beef about is how different Dexter is from his book version, especially in Season 2. In the books, Dexter was never capable of feeling, had no interest in sex, and was always driven to satisfy that “need.” The show, however, doesn’t really cover this well, and makes a habit of humanizing him a bit too much sometimes.
Although, even though they screw with the characterization of Dexter, the show is still damn good.
anyone else think Lila is freaken hot yet creepy ?
and her accent…mmm
Drool
>:O
Anyone see this tonight?
This show may have reached new highs.
What happened? Did Lundy talk to Dex or something?
He got at Dex about the blotched bloodwork with Rodrigo. When Lundy asks Doakes about it…Doakes never knew, and breaks into Dex’s house and finds the missing bloodwork. Some creepy old guy saw Dex take Rodrigo/Big Chino, and gives them the liscence plate number, which…belonged to a car that was being kept as evidence. Lyla breaks into Rita’s house, and Dex figures it out.
Great episode man whoa Dex is in trouble, either Dokes or Lundy are about to bring him down unless he does something…
I predict that Dexter will kill Lundy and/or Doakes, bet it
Yeah but now she’s on a new level of creepy, god she’s way too clingy, dangerously so. lol @ the titty vampire comment.
Doakes… fuck. You shoulda taken the job Doakes you shoulda taken the job.:shake:
Lundy took some Viagra that night!
Doakes yes if it looks like an “accident”, Lundy…WAAAAAAY too risky.
My guess is that Dex will be found out at or near the end of this season… and he’ll be an uncompromising situation that only Lila can get him out of. The puzzle of his crimes are fitting in too well now and it’s only a matter of time before he gets found out. Especially since Doakes…
I don’t think Lundy suspects Dex though, an ordinary serial killer would’ve gotten upset during those moments but Dex held his cool.
Does anyone else think that if Dexter found the chainsaw guy who killed his mother from the beginning that he might have squashed his serial killing urge before it went on overdrive?
No! Doakes is a bastard. He’s not doing his job (he’s harassing someone), and he doesn’t actually know Dexter kills people. He just thinks something is up with Dexter, and it took him the entire last season to get a reason to bother him (he has always hated him).
‘Fake Blade’ thinks he’s so badass walking aroung in his ‘Blade Shades’.
When is the next episode? I hope Debra find’s Doakes in Dexter’s home.
Oh and did anyone else catch the Mystery Men reference in this ep?
From the looks of the preview for the next show, it looks like Dexter might catch a break in regard to his blood slides. It also looks like Lila is becoming more of a problem.
Yeah, Doakes overstepped his bounds way too much. He had nothing to go on except the fact that “Dexter is creepy”. Tailing him, trying to make his life hell isn’t really acceptable cop behaviour… ESPECIALLY to another cop.
Also, Lila is soooo fucked up.
Uhm, no. Doakes finds Dexter’s “trophies” from each kill, the blood sample he takes from each victim.
Pretty sweet how much the viewer base is growing.
Are the spoilers really “spoiler-spoilers?”
Well its like everyone said, the show has a bad way of not expressing or wrongly expressing a characters actions. Now that I’ve read the books (finishing up the 3rd one now) I understand this better. For example we all know Dexter is not supposed to feel, but in the show he’s “humanized”. In the show we see Doakes always being a hardass on Dex because hes “creepy”, in the book this is better explained by Dexter in the 2nd book as Doakes alt persona similar to Dex’s “Dark Passenger” seeing/feeling/sensing Dexters “Dark Passenger”. Its more than a gut feeling, theres the pure instinctive feeling that they both sense about each other.
Ninja Edit:
Heres a excerpt from the 2nd novel after Sgt. Doakes has been following Dexter everywhere…
my dear friend
indeed.
So far the 2nd season is way off the 2nd book, but it does borrow some elements from it, and in its own right is still good. Just as I turn the next page of the book to read what happens next, the show has me waiting til next week to see what happens…
:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
After finally seeing tonight’s episode this has easily become my favorite show on TV. I always loved this show, but this episode delivered in so many ways. I haven’t been this excited about a T.V show in such a long time.
