The angle’s completely different. It goes to the MK height but travels farther than the HK version, it actually reaches full screen. It doesn’t seem to work with setups that depend on spacing more than timing - the kind where you see your opponent in their blocking pose, and Gen sails over them to fall on the back of their head.
Edit: oh wtf, I can’t even make sense of this. I can make a recording that I can block as a crossup, and then I try to block it again and it becomes unblockable. I’m so confused right now.

It’s an unblockable setup for EX Oga, but they CAN crouch under that one.
I wish they didn’t make the EX Oga flash the whole time. I got so excited to notice they made it flash even after the wall bounce. But it’s not projectile invincible. Tested Far, and opposite side, both get hit on the way to the opponent.
Yeah, it’s only projectile invincible on the way to the wall :\ Oh well, at least we got a buff.
Thanks for sharing. I was testing this a little more, yes, it is an unblockable + uncrouchable. BUT all Rufus has to do is do a crouching normal on wakeup, that or ex-messiah to avoid it. If timed perfectly, Rufus’ c.hp can auto-correct to punish as Gen whiffs his ex-oga
I just recorded Crane c.RH in Super and AE 2012. I started them at the same time in Premiere at the frame before they move. I overlapped them and made one 50% Opacity. From what I can tell it moves in the same amount of frames from Start to Finish.

Been testing stuff against Sagat… Any finished heavy Gekiro, land, crane cr.fierce for timing, immediately EX Oga to far wall and do far kick for cross-up. This one is crouchable though.
Also, crane cr.short, mantis sweep, EX Oga to far wall and do far kick also works on Sagat, but it’s difficult. I’m bad at the walk-forward though, and I think with that it can be made more reliable. Also crouchable I believe. If someone else can try it’d be great.
If Sagat is cornering you and is standing basically right on you, if you can sneak a crane cr.jab xx EX Oga to back wall into far kick, it will cross him up. All you can get off of this one is Ultra 1 though, and Sagat must be standing. Not very practical, but it’s kind of cool.
Forward throw, whiff crane cr.mk, pause very slightly, EX Oga opposite wall to far kick, sweep. This one is unreliable really but I figured why not post it.
Here’s the neato one: When you’re completely full screen from Sagat (I mean backs to opposite walls), walk-forward slightly into EX Oga to opposite wall into far kick will cross him up. I am aweful at the walk-forward thing, an alternative is crane cr.HK from the corner for spacing. Must be standing of course.
I haven’t tried any of these on other opponents yet.
I appears it’s best to finish most of your combos with the following now.

This way you can have the chance for a setup. You can jump between the two depending on who it works on. I believe the list of characters that s.Fierce, HK Gekiro didn’t work on was VERY small. It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at it.
i think we need a new table for Ogas cross ups !!! with the new Ex one !!
I got a safe jump after HK Gekiro that will build some extra meter. HK Gekiro, land, whiff HK Gekiro (mash HK to land quickly), then walk forward slightly, mantis forward jump mk. Testing it on Ryu, even EX DP will simply whiff. I like it.

Against cornered Ryu, back throw, pause slightly, EX Oga far kick from back wall crosses up, and after a sweep, follow up with short Oga to opposite wall (the same wall as before, but you’re on the other side of Ryu now) far kick for yet another cross-up. Follow this one up with HK Gekiro or ultra. With HK Gekiro this sequence will do 606 damage. 770 with Ultra 1 instead. I’m sure this will all connect on a few of the cast, but it is crouchable.
In general, I’m noticing the hit boxes on EX Oga are far superior.
