I’ve been running Hulk/Wesker/Iron Man

Using Wesker for his OTG assist to get some big damage combos in the corner with Hulk, and Iron Mans beam assist to help me get in. I feel like I shouldn’t be picking my team based around one character, but it’s getting the job done and I enjoy playing them.

I’m glad that you saw my posts, I think she’s a really strong teammate for Hulk. Did you see all of the set ups I posted? The unblockables, the OTG combos into Gamma Charge, the high-low-high mix ups?

I’m currently using Dante (JS), IM (Unibeam) and Hulk (AA Gamma Charge). Havin’ loads of fun with it.

Yeah, I will DEFINITELY be working on those. Great shit man.

At the moment, I’m running: Hulk (Gamma Charge AA), Okamidog (Cold Star) and Doom (Missiles).

Hulk’s assist works as a get-off-me type AA for both of the other two characters and the other two characters serve to help Hulk get in/stay in.

Okamidog also DHCs in really easily from just about any hyper Hulk does.

Tried out Hulk (wave) Dormammu (purification? the otg pillar) and sent (drones) last night/this morning. WAY better team then the one I had been using, at least for where I’m at right now. Actually got some DHCs going, and synergy in general was way up. I like having confidence in the health of all my chars, too. Couldn’t really deal with X-23’s low health even though I may work on her stuff still anyways. I love the pressure I can get with the drones covering me, got some great Gamma tornadoes and set ups in. Yay hulk!

For Hulk (Y)/Sent (A)/Doom (Y)

As Hulk, when you perform an air combo and end it with a knockdown/ground bounce XX Gamma Tsunami from mid to full screen, make sure to call out either your Doom or Sent assists right before you perform his Tsunami super. The rocks and drones will linger on screen after the super ends. They won’t combo with the Tsunami itself (judging from what I’ve tried out thus far), but your opponent will either eat them or be forced to block…the latter of which will allow you advance with Hulk and maybe pin them into the corner.

I’m using Hulk (Gamma Charge Ground)/Dormmamu (Purification)/Doom (beam). I’m really frustrated with how to deal with Sentinel, plus Doom’s meterless combos don’t seem to be that great (it’s very possible I’m just terrible with Doom). Any tips?

So I’ve been using Hulk, Joe, and Ammy, I was wondering if anyone had any comments on that…

The assists are:

Hulk: Gamma Wave
Joe: Groovy Uppercut
Ammy: Cold Star

I’m playing Wolverine (Berserker Barrage), Hulk (Gamma Wave) and Tron Bonne (Gustaff Fire). I won’t go into much detail, but this team deals an unfair amount of damage. Wolverine’s Fatal Claw can DHC into Hulk’s Gamma Crush anywhere on the screen, which means Wolverine can do close to 900 000 damage off st.:l: :rofl: Tron Bonne can do 1.2 million in the corner with 3 bars. Tron’s Gustaff Fire is also broken lol.

I dropped X-23 too :razz: Her combos are fun, but she’s not very fun overall

After randoming Super Skrull at the beginning of this weekend, I became a fan, so I changed my team to Skrull/Hulk/Ryu. Skrull’s OTG assist is amazing for Hulk’s command throw. If you throw someone OUT of the corner and use Skrull’s assist to OTG them, if you follow up with that hit and combo them from it, they will end up in the corner. This timing is a bit weird, though. You have to command throw (I was only using the M version), dash, call SS, dash again, and then as soon as SS hits them and they fly you have to dash and follow them. It is a ton easier if you’re already tossing someone into a corner. You really gotta experiment with the timing. It is very visual based.

Hulk really needs to abuse his command throw sometimes, because I know my friend was scared to press a button after getting used super armor on Hulk’s normal. Hulk is 10x better with an opponent in the corner, so I am digging the set up so far.

I’ve also been testing Skrull’s OTG assist to tack on some damage with Hulk whenever I land a standing H. After the standing H lands, just use the Skrull assist and you can get in a few extra hits depending on your position. I also feel like I can get people in the corner or way closer to it than regular bnbs get you. Skrull’s assist makes people FLY across the screen.

They also both DHC into each other in beastly ways. You can DHC anywhere from the screen from Skrull’s Inferno hyper into Hulk’s Gamma Crush. And Skrull pretty much ends all his combos with it (even from his grab), so you will be landing Inferno a ton. 700k off of a Elastic Slam and 850k~ offa a st.l. I am also doing the bare bone easy combos with Skrull since I just picked him up, so I am hoping I can churn out some better combos soon.

Ryu is still being tested. DHCs involving Ryu are easy peasy, and I really like him with Hulk’s Gamma Wave. You can control a lot of space using that and air Hadokens. Skrull and Hulk can OTG after Ryu’s air throw, so that’s cool too. I’m just glad I am getting some use out of Skrull’s meh assists.

Are you using Fire a lot on the offense?

That’s basically how I felt. Like, I would just bread and butter every match, or occasionally get her QCF+h set up going, but low health and overall lameness made me reconsider her position. I’m winning WAY more without her, too, even though I’m less familiar with Dormammu. I haven’t given Tron a fair chance yet, I’ll check her out. I feel pretty lame using Sent on my team, too, so it’s very possible my squad will receive a full makeover soon (except for Hulk, of course!).

If I tag my opponent with it during Wolverine’s rushdown, I can easily confirm into a BnB. Also, with the right timing, it allows me to combo after Wolverine’s instant j.:l:. I haven’t really explored its nuances with Hulk, outside of a few combos, but I just use it as lockdown assist with him. It’s probably one of the best assists in the game.

Switch Hulk’s assist to Gamma Charge AA & Joe’s to his projectile. Hulk is invincible on the way up and it causes considerable damage. That’s the only thing I can think of, though…

I’ve been meaning to put both Logan & Banner on the same team! Problem is I’m still searching for a Projectile Assist to cover Wolverine (I like Gamma Wave, but not enough to trust it with Logan’s rushdown…)

My Hulk/Iron Man/Sentinel team is like 18-4, so that’s good. Every time I switch out that second slot I seem to do better and better!

edit: had win streaks of like 5, 7, 10, and 9 today with this team, separated with only a few losses. Diggin’ it, and my Iron Man barely does anything! Once he’s more than just filler and a DHC opportunity I will REALLY be taking names.

Only picking hulk up today because I like the red color and it goes well with doom’s red costume. I’ve been looking for a good third character that has strong synergy with hulk, and was torn between x23 and wesker beacuse of the OTG capabilities,. I’ve been trying gamma tornado throw thingy, dash, assist OTG, j :h:, j:s: into BNB but i’ve been way more consistent connecting with wesker than i have with x23. does x23 and weskers otg assists have the same properties? if so i’m gonna pick up x23 for sure because she just seems much more straight forward than wesker.

Wesker’s is the fastest otg assist in the game, so calling speeds for the assists will be different if you’re going for the same thing.

Anyone tried using She-Hulk(A) to go with Hulk? Torpedo hits low and OTG like X-23’s Ankle Slice and reaches further, and she is a lot less fragile than X-23. I’ve been getting seemingly good results out of Hulk(A)/Dr. Doom(Y)/She-Hulk(A), but I’ll be the first to admit my execution and my available opposition aren’t what they should be. I’d be interested to know how the combination works, and where it falls short, when used more proficiently.

I have been using Hulk/Chun/Sent

Chuns kick buys me a lot of frame advantage and time to react.

Chun also has the triple jump to keep me away from any overly agressive players especially with xfactor.

Super wise, they all work well together too.
