I already mess around a lot with Sentinel, so I’ll probably run it with Haggar or Hulk on point then She Hulk/Sentinel when I hit a wall.
I was wondering something. I use PW(Get 'Em, Missile)/Hulk(AA Gamma Charge)/Doom(Hidden Missiles), which changes to Hulk/PW/Doom if I get 3 pieces of evidence and Hulk/Doom/PW if Turnabout Mode gets activated. This team has some pretty amazing synergy, in my opinion.
What I was wondering was… does anyone use Hidden Missiles to get two Gamma Crushes in one combo? Using a command grab and both of my assists, my Hulk can actually kill off Thor using just 3 bars, which includes two Gamma Crushes in one combo plus a DHC into either Doom or PW.
ya i do that alot. in corner i call missles before a regular gamma wave/crush. then mash on heavy for the hard knockdown. then you can do another gamma wave/crush. With a good carry assist (like she hulk) you can start it from darn near ful screen
Yeah - Hulk + Doom missiles is a good pairing that I’ve been using since Vanilla.
Also FYI, you don’t need to be in the corner to land double Gamma Crush - if you land a hit, combo into launcher, then call Doom right before you jump cancel the launcher into Gamma Crush. When Hulk lands, do a jump cancelled dash xx Gamma Crush.
Should look something like:
cr.l, cr.m xx Up Gamma Charge H ~ M, dash xx j.M, j.H, j.S, s.M, f+M, s.S (Call Doom) xx Gamma Crush (recover, missiles hit) dash xx Gamma Crush

Does Virgil have much to offer Hulk? Right now I’ve been running Hulk, someone, Doom. I was trying Hulk, Skrull, Doom. Then more lately its been Hulk, Akuma, Doom. I need a middle assist that can continue gamma wave OTG combos in the corner. I like Akuma’s tatsu since it also cancels projectiles but his health is so dang low.
I figure Vergil’s teleport can help against crazy cheesy keep away teams but I don’t know if any of his assists are good for helping Hulk get in.

Has some good Hulk tech. Was particulary intrigued by Nova Comboing off Hulks Anti Air assist. After messing around in the Lab a little I came across some cool tech that im not sure is well known. Anyhow if you do a well timed jump back Hunter with Hakweye while calling the AA gamma charge itll connect and you can have a full combo. Seems like a good defensive trick. Have to watch out for happy bdays though. Hulk, Nova, Hawkeye seems like a good team I’m going to have mess around with.

what best assist to Help Hulk to get close, I play Hulk and Sentinel, but dot know to chose another, Capt America or Ghost Rider,need advice, i chose Ghost Rider Hellfire otg but too slow not fast as Wesker otg

Been having a hard time figuring out what team to run. In vanilla, I mostly used Hulk/Ryu/Wesker. Now I’m trying to find something that stars with Wesker/Hulk. But I can’t find a good anchor. I use Phoenix at times and Nemesis/Doom occasionally, but I don’t really feel right with Doom, and Phoenix is too much a gamble for me. I’m not much of a high-execution character. I don’t mind working to land my first hit, but I want that hit to lead to some big, quick damage.
My current itteration of my team is Hulk (AA) Task (Horiz Arrow) Doom (Missiles) I’ve played around with rocks before but I’m pretty sure I dropped it because Doom’s out there so long its prone to getting happy birthday’d, not that missiles is much better. Hulk DHC Task is some beefy damage and you can use arrows or doom rocks to extend a corner combo. I’ve gotten 3 full reps of an air combo using both for around 940k I believe and building positive meter.
My secondary team that I haven’t put enough time into developing, but after Winter Brawl I may, is Nemesis (clothesline Rocket), Hulk (AA?), Sent (Drones). This is Team Fucking Huge! The reason why I may put some time into it was Unknownz at Winter Brawl was messing ppl up with Nemesis and his mixups. Sadly Hulk’s command throw has only the threat of the command throw. All you can follow it with is a super normally for meh damage and imo if its not going to kill isn’t worth the bar. However Nemesis gets HUGE damage off a command grab AND his Rocket Hyper DHC Gamma Crush DHC Plasma Storm is godlike, you can obviously cut it at the Gamma Crush if you don’t feel like goin 3 meters deep. But I feel this team has more potential than originally thought and I just didn’t feel like learning a new team tbh. Now that I’m rusty with my main team I may put the time into this one.
I used to run X-23 / Hulk / Arthur, but I’m just not feeling X-23 as a character and I’m going to drop her. I noticed a consensus in this thread says that Hulk + Dorm Dark Hole assist. I like Dormammu but there are other characters I would prefer to try out first. I was hoping to get some outside opinion on new teams I was thinking of running:
Hulk / Dr. Strange (Bolts) / Dorm (Dark Hole)
Hulk / Dr. Strange (Eye) / Arthur (Daggers)
Hulk / Dorm (Dark Hole) / Arthur (Daggers)
I’m not gonna be home to hit the lab in a while, so I was hoping in the meantime to get some analysis from you all as to possible team synergy and also answers to some questions. Would Strange’s Eye provide similar benefits to Hulk as Dorm’s Dark Hole? Does Hulk’s Gamma Wave hit low, whether if he’s on point or as an assist?

Solid team. You have some nice tricks with Hulk -> DHC to the trap then raw tag into Hulk. Missiles is a great assist for Hulk.
Log trap is really good, but I haven’t played with it too much with Hulk. I imagine that you could get some mileage out of gamma charge + trap to mix people up.
You could probably piss a lot of people off using Gamma Wave + Missiles + Log Trap to keep people from getting in.
I wonder if Log Trap give decent protection against teleporters. If it does, then the team is very solid.
I’m running Hulk on point then Hawkeye, and Wesker as Anchor. Im trying to ditch hawk and get someone who meshes better. I’m considering Doom. Any other suggestions??

I’ve been grinding it out with Hulk and Rocket Raccoon, and it’s usable-ish. Kusoru makes Log Trap look godlike, but that’s because Viewtiful Joe has godlike mobility, so he can triple jump all over the place and call it without the opponent realizing it. It’s good for extending air throw combos, for incoming character mix-ups and making the opponent block for a command grab. Getting a solid hit for a dash-cancel jH S into combo gets 950K damage, but it’s hard to get a clean hit. Also, log trap is pretty easy to just randomly dodge, and Rocket Raccoon gets hit pretty easily.
Which one of wolverine’s assists is best for Hulk?
Very true from what you have said…Right now Im kinda of thinking of losing Rocket now for someone else…right now I have no real clue who i want in…for sure i know the ones I do not want is Wesker or Sent. Almost all my friends use those two and just get tired of seeing those two so much. Hulk with Doom B assist is such a great OTG for me that I do not want to change and Im most likely looking for a beam assist to get me in easier. Well I Know Doom beam is very good, im using hit Missiles to otg and have a means of anti air
