Currently running Hulk/Wesker/Doom–what do you guys think is the best Doom assist for Hulk?
If your other assist is Wesker OTG, then definitely Plasma Beam. Hulk benefits from Hidden Missiles a lot, but I think he benefits more from having a clear screen - no point having a great lock down assist if calling it safely is situational.
In saying that, rocks is really good too - but the added durability of Plasma Beam helps out in a lot of matches
i run she hulk hulk doom myself. I prefer missels for the combos. but if its a really bad deadpool or mag/ sent, i switch to beam
Doom plasma beam also allows for Hulk to punish ur opponents assist characters with gamma wave and gamma tsunami. And like electric mentioned about the durability of beam, that assist clears out more bs than what people may know.
Rocked this team since Day 1 Vanilla: Hulk/Deadpool/Sent (I’m starting to wonder whether I should put deadpool as anchor rather than sent)

That is the reset that was used in vanilla by astaroth i think. u can obviously change the wesker otg to gamma wave + assist.
I run Hulk/Dorm/Task. Hulk and Dorm have great synergy. A good corner combo is H,S, jMMHS, dark hole + L gamma wave, cH,S, jMHS, H gamma wave, Gamma Crush. If I want to reset, instead of the gamma crush I will call Taskmasters Horizontal assist and when they flip out go for an OS forward airthrow or H,S. After throw you can do L gamma wave + dark hole assist to relaunch.
How do you guys feel about anchoring a Hulk-B/Dorm-A with Arthur-B? Is there any other character you guys think would work (other than sent, whom I can’t seem to figure out to save my life) for allowing Hulk to get in for damage?

Don’t anchor Hulk. Dorm or Arthur as anchor would be a wiser choice. Arthur being the best because Dorm is pretty versatile and can fill the 2nd spot quite well. Try experimenting with lock down assists, they allow Hulk to get in and apply pressure.
I don’t like that team, it’s prone to keep away, phoenix, and a variety of top tier/mixup heavy teams.
So the general consensus I’m getting from here is that Hulk/Dormammu (dark hole)/Wesker (gunshot) is a decent team?
If so, this is good news because for once I’ll be able to put 3 characters I like on a decent team
I’ve switched to Hulk(AA Charge)/Firebrand(OTG)/Doom(Beam). Do you guys think this is a good order? A viable team?
I’m having more sucess with this than I was with my old team. I want to switch to missiles, but Plasma Beam clears the screen so well that I feel it’s not worth it
I’ve found that you should choose between Missiles and Beam assist by considering your current matchup. Against zoners, Beam is best. Against rushdown, Missiles can basically win the match for Hulk.
But how do I deal with lets say Wolverine (or any rush down character) + Sent drones without beam? That’s my main concern is if I stop using beam, sent drones will shut me down
That’s where considering the matchup comes in. Use beam against Sent drones.
Been playing Ghost Rider/Hulk/Strange. I alternate between GR and Hulk on point… Hulk AA assist helps GR deal with the awful dead zone he has in front and above of his head. OTG Motorcycle -> gamma crush is insane damage. It’s a backward DHC too, considering you can get the full gamma crush into the bike for big damage, and if they are somehow alive the Doc can clean up with his book.
Bolts assist from Doc clears the screen and serves as a lockdown at the same time. Ghost Rider gives Hulk an OTG assist for throws and combos. Honestly, the team drips with synergy as far as I can tell.
Thoughts? Anyone else running any of these pairs?
Which assist are you using for GR? I remember trying him a little bit with Hulk, but his otg Spire-like move otg’ed too fast (Hulk couldn’t follow up after throws). The team should work well though if you can combo from Hulk’s command grabs and air grabs.
Personally, I’d use Eye of Agamotto assist. As you have Bolts now, if GR dies early, Hulk can’t combo from throws.
I’m using the spire. I don’t use Hulk’s command throw really at all if I’m not going to score a kill out of it, just because I don’t really know much of his follow up options (especially after the patch).
Typically, if I’m landing a throw, it’s out of an air throw scenario. Coming out of the throw (front or back) I just mash the assist, and as soon as Hulk hits the floor, I j.H j.S cr.H etc etc etc. In the corner, I extend with his otg, and as the spire picks them up, I hit them with m -> f+m -> S, air MHS. I never even considered that I could probably better follow up with some gamma charge M followups. I just picked Hulk up recently and fell in love with him, so I’m still learning, but I really enjoy the pair of GR and Hulk.
If I’m midscreen with Hulk, I almost always go for a TAC back to GR because going from the OTG bike hyper -> gamma crush is such insane damage.
So I’ve been thinking about running Haggar (lariat)/Hulk (charge)/She-Hulk (torpedo) to try and make a team that’s the nearest approximation of Zangief in Marvel. Convince me that this is a good or bad idea. Some notes: You can tag out during She-Hulks stun into either Haggar or Hulk and do a full combo off of it. I think torpedo sets up unblockables with Hulk and Haggar’s huge jumping overheads. That’s really as far as I’ve thought it out, I’ll probably screw around with it tomorrow online.
i run she hulk / Hulk myself and must say its a great combo. Landing just one She hulk comand grab, or run cancelled slap, or TAC can bring in Hulk for a death combo on most of the cast. The Torpedo assist is also one of the few assist that can help hulk easily combo after tornado throw even after the nerf.
This team however gets pwned by keepaway such as deadpool and ghost rider ect. I think the third character’s assist should be one to help you get in. I personally use doom and his missles or beam to fill that need.
