Would probably go with hawkeye with the arrows, though strange with the daggers can be pretty annoying as a zoning assist.
Personally I think sentinel drones would do well there, and he fits the criteria of not being complicated.

I tried to get him on sentinel, but he hates the character in general. Now, would Hawkeye’s vertical arrows or horizontal ones be more effective? (Forgive me, I’ve no clue their specific names)

I like to use spencer’s armor piercer to combo off of his air throws/gamma tornadoes. It worked like a charm in vanilla, but in ultimate the timing is a little more strict depending on the size of the character. To combo off gamma tornado, just chase with gamma charge while charging back, call spencer and do a light gamma wave. After they bounce, you can dash and jump and smack them with an air S for the ground bounce.
Hulk, Nemesis, Haggar!
Hulk team air tags to Nemesis and he rocket hypers followed by gamma crush. Haggar does what he still does with the lariet assist but is now completely vulnerable to low attacks during all frames, to make up for this his lariet has higher priority than just about any other attack in the game.
Nemises/Hulk/Sent, thats what I wana play, did somone made some expiriance especially Nemises/Hulk syn? greatfull for any input you can agve me!
I was actually messing around online yesterday with Hulk (Gamma Charge)/Nem (Clothesline)/ Sent (Rocket Punch)
The damage is stupid fun (900k to 1mil in the corner), but getting in was impossible against anyone with half a brain. Hulk and Nemesis both feel like characters that need to be on point to work well, but I think tweaking the order and assists could potentially create a(n online) viable team. Would love to hear some more ideas about them as a team because I know I can’t be the only one thinking about going for the hilarious ‘big stupid super armored jerk’ gimmick team.
Can you give me some input about your bnbs and what gives you alot of trouble? I think Nemi as point would be better cuz of Deadly reach and Sent with Drons so you can dash forward while you have drons + deadly Reach you can come in. I theory, I have to test it today or tomorrow
Im lookin to run hulk with some combination of vergil wesker and doom. Any recommendations on which characters and assists work well together?
I have Wesker on my current team, his Samurai Edge (low) is great for easy re-juggles for Hulk in corners and after air throws on medium/ large characters. Wesker’s ‘Maximum Wesker’ is also a great DHC after Hulk’s ‘Gamma Tsunami’ if you are mid-screen, it does not do much damage but it gets the job done and it gets Wesker’s glasses off which is something you want coming in with Wesker.
Run Hulk (Horizontal or AA Charge) / Doom (Plasma Beam) / Wesker (OTG)
The basic premise with this team is to use Doom assist to get in, land one hit, then kill. Hulk should be able to carry you to the corner off of any stray hit with the OTG assist (it’s especially true now, with the M follow up to AA charge giving a wall bounce) - once you’re in the corner you can do Gamma Wave xx Gamma Crush, and DHC into Dooms up super if you need to to kill a character off. Wesker OTG also allows you to combo easily off of Hulk air and command throws - something a lot of people sleep on.
I’d also change Doom assist to rocks in some match ups - Captain America/Frank West/Vergil - basically any one with a strong left/right mix up - since rocks hit all around while they’re swirling, they provide decent cover to your exposed back side and also give adequate cover when they’ve been fired off.
Right now I’m running Hulk/Wolverine/Sentinel. I don’t really wan’t to keep Wolverine there as I feel that I could just have someone who helps out more.
Is there any assist that can reliably otg anywhere (not just in cornor) after s.H,S,j.M,j.M,j.H,S? I tried using Hawkeye and Ghostrider, and Hulk was too far away. I’d like for it to be a new character, but it doesn’t have to be. Any help would be great. Thanks
Hey, um, I’m pretty new to the mvc series and I’ve decided on Hulk and Sentinel for my team. I need an anchor someone who isn’t too difficult to learn while I’m still working on fundamentals but functions with my team. I like the team because I can switch from being aggressive to a keepaway game with sentinel and hulk. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
If you change your combo slightly, you can use practically any otg assist. Instead of HS jMMHS, do HS jMMS, then when you land, immediately dash and call the assist. In the corner, you can add the jH for extra damage, but without it, you can otg at any part of the screen.
Hey folks. I think I’ve got something here with a team of Hulk, Spencer (diagonal grapple) and Taskmaster (horizontal arrows).
Can I get some advice/suggestions on what Hulk assist I should be looking at to work on this team?
Normally I would also think to have Spencer on anchor but with him in 2 the DHC possibilities appear to be better.
Yeah, it’s best to have Spencer on point or 2nd, since he and Hulk are BFF’s when it comes to DHCs. As for Hulk assist, it’s really a toss up between AA Gamma Charge & Gamma Wave. The Wave is a good projectile assist that can help Spencer, and AA Gamma Charge is a great GTFO assist, especially if they rush down your Taskmaster.
I’ve been abandoning Hulk due to a lack of finding good synergy with him and others. I might have something with Hulk & Strange, but I don’t know whether I should use Deadpool or Vergil…

Thanks to those who don’t mind sharing n those who r gonna be like “these r the type of ppl i hate, don’t wanna find anything on their own just ask questions”; all i have to say to u is i learned like 10 different characters( came up wit tech n all) in the last 3 weeks trying to find team synergy for hulk so for me 2 ask now there shouldn’t be a problem. My advice in turn for hulk+dorm tech is…srsly put someone on ur team to deal wit zero…cuz wowz if u have never fought a good zero dat can play keep away… u never fought zero period.
Hulk and Dorm can be compared to Wolvie and Akuma. They’re best friends, and it shows in matches.
You can combo from a command throw using gamma wave + dark hole assist, but it’s difficult. You have to do a M Gamma Charge while holding back to charge the wave. As soon as the Gamma Charge stops, simultaneously call the assist and use L Gamma Wave. I use an otg since it’s a lot easier.
You could use Hulk’s Gamma Wave assist to otg for relaunching with Dorm.
I use Hulk’s horizontal Gamma Charge. If you call the assist while using Dorm’s M teleport, it’s very hard for the opponent to block. If this mixup works, you get a free combo (j.S, land, st.L, st.M, st.S, etc.).
I run Hulk/Dorm, and I agree that they are amazing partners.
Dark Hole can be used to pick people up after an air throw, but I never thought to do it after a command grab, thanks Astaroth.
You can also get really damaging corner combos using Dark Hole, especially if you have another assist that stays active for a while like Hsien Ko or Strange’s Eye of Agamatto and use them for multiple relaunches. Even with Dorm alone, Hulk should be able to 1 million in the corner.
Hulk has a command grab reset with Dark Hole as well. In the corner, finish by calling Dorm, doing Gamma Wave L, standing M, wait a beat, then Gamma Tornado H. If they recover forward and try to punish, just do Standing H. Or, if you read the forward recovery, jump up and throw them back in the corner.
Some DHCs:
Gamma Tsunami -> Chaotic Flame
Gamma Tsunami -> Stalking Flare (corner only)
Gamma Quake -> Chaotic Flame
Gamma Quake -> Stalking Flare (corner only, also a very good mixup setup after killing an opponent, also does a ton of chip)
Chaotic Flame -> Gamma Crush (corner only)
I use Gamma Wave, but I’m beginning to see why Gamma Charge *Y *might be better. Aside from the mixups, I’m assuming it’s probably pretty good at building space for Dorm. It also gives you Gamma Crush as a crossover combination (THC), so if you have another character whose crossover counter OTGs (like Storm or Zero or Chris) you can get a TON of damage with anyone on point.
