Dee Jay

Me too. I got mine at the Soul Calibur 4 launch. Works like a charm.

Anyone else notice dread kicks don’t knock down? :frowning:

you can turn that frown upside down if that makes them like CE dictator’s scissor kicks.

no knockdown just means better pressure. like Ken’s EX tatsu.

also here’s hoping to lk dread kicks going through lows.

Oh yeah, for sure. The kicks looked fairly safe, so it’ll just serve to strengthen his pressure game (which is already ridiculous in ST). I’ll just miss using LK dread kicks to go over a predicted low for the knock down and crossup opportunity…

Second the motion for LK dread kicks to go through lows.

Don’t know about upkicks yet, but light dread kicks is single hit. .

does it matter when the EX crumples? thats a full ultra right there :stuck_out_tongue: or anything else youre in the mood for

i liked doing DeeJay’s cross-up mk, cr.lp x2, MGU. Massive damage. Looking at it now, it’ll be pretty easy since I’m decent with pianoing thanks to Chun. LP(MP), LP(MP), MP+HP. Can not wait for DeeJay.

Looks like FADC would let you link after.

it seems like they changed his super so that the old ST Upkicks -> Super works better. Since all the kicks are angled upwards.

but I still havent really seen upkicks hit so I dunno if Upkicks -> Ultra/super is as easy if doable.

I wonder just how well his up kicks will work as anti air.

I’m praying that his lk up kick is still invincible until after it’s last hitting frame.

Lol, I just got a stick… and I’ve played Chun since SF4 hit the shelves… Now I have to learn her on stick… hard stuff.

It was so hard for me, since I’m used to playing characters with average or better health and a shoryuken.

Playing Chun taught me to not look like my avatar all the time and to rely on normals a lot more… and to not be content with trading hits all the time like a moron. :stuck_out_tongue:

I yeah learned that stuff first, now Sakura is teaching me to be aggressive and combo ready.

And juggle-able or would that be asking for to much?
I was actually wondering about the frame data on the up kicks, specifically, about the fact that lk has the most invincibility frames in other games. Could you foresee a reason why they might mess with it especially since he appears to have great EXs?

In general, anti-airs in SF4 have much less invulnerability/priority than in other games. In most cases, they only have a single invulnerable hitting frame.

So, while I’m certainly hoping they don’t, they will probably neuter DeeJay’s anti-air, just like they did everyone else’s.

OMG I love your avie!

I guess they really wanted to make those EX moves look good…

Might also have something to do with how stupid easy it is to pull off reversals in this game.

That sucks… I’d rather have reliable invincibility frames with strict reversals, than easy gaping reversal windows and crap specials… :frowning:
