Dee Jay

feel the same way.

i think deejay will be really high up depending on how they change the current characters and what they give the other new characters

Well, DJ having easy ways to combo into ultra will keep him out of low tier for sure (that’s seems to be a defining trait of the low tier in SF). I haven’t seen his zoning game yet, but if it’s even close to what he could do in ST (he had one of the strongest sets of zoning tools in the game), then DJ is set to be competitive. They got the balance almost perfect the first time around (with a few notable exceptions, like Vega and Sagat), so I have high hopes for DJ.

It looks like he has a lot going for him at the moment. I can’t wait to see how he turns out, as he was my secondary in ST.

Oh, and I just have to say: Jesus fucking christ, EX MGU does absurd damage. Crossup mk, HP xx EX MGU maybe?

The exMGU didn’t do THAT much damage. It only looked that way since Juri already had a chunk of health missing.

now i watched the video yesterday, and if i remember correctly the MGP didnt seem to combo after a standing puch, they were always too far away for the first hit to connect. I think J.HP > EX MGP would work though

Y’all gonna see all the cool stuff you can do now that MGU is mash input and be like, “oh shit”.

The only chunk of health she’s missing is from a c.HP, the rest is from EX MGU. That’s a lot of health for one move. Either damage values have gone up, or Deejay is fairly damaging.

Oops, I meant c.HP. That was an old ST combo (crossup j.MK, c.HP, MGU).

I have to agree, the damage was really decent for only one move, I wonder how much MGU and EX MGU will be affected from a somewhat long combo damage scaling.

It is a notable change the fact that MGU will be “smashing” move, personally I would have liked it as charge move but this is not something that will damage on a really big way DJ’s strategy, we just have to wait and see what other tools appears for him. I don’t main Chun, but I’m sure those who do will find easy to combo MGU from anything that will be able to work on it.

Mashing the MGU on a pad is going to be hell for me.

Got plenty of time to start learning that stick, sir.

That’s the unfortunate reality of it. Shit’s expensive. :annoy:

I hear ya, dood. I copped mine for about 80 bucks, but had to put about 20 bucks into the parts to mod it and I think another 5 for the extension cord, so I don’t have any Evo LULZ moments.

If you could not by the next big game and get a stick instead, it would be a worth investment. At the very least, you could save up about 15 or 20 bucks a month til SSFIV is released and just buy a stick that way.

When I started stick, I decided to learn Chun at the same time. It was a very depressing first couple of months…

Yeah, getting a stick is something I’ve considered for a long, long time. Mostly because I’ve felt that my execution on a stick was better (in Street Fighter yeah, but mostly from playing in Tekken tournaments).

I could never do the EWHF or EWGF in Tekken on pad. I did a little practice when I first got Tekken 6, and had about a 50 or 60 percent success rate.

I think I need to switch to a square gate though…

But we are totally stealing this thread…

i cant do anything on a circle gate anymore. i got the TE fightstick and it took me a while to be able to get a circle gate and by the time i did i was so used to the square gate it was pointless. even direction characters i do better on square

I switched mine from a square gate to an octagon gate, since I was having trouble with direction characters.

Now I wish I hadn’t, since I think it would be easier for me to hit EWGFs with the square gate. I’d switch em back, but it was a pain for me to open the damn thing… No power tools and my hands are too big to get the smaller screws… I had to use needle nose pliers… Not fun at all…

I was sitting around with a bunch of tools like I was about to defuse a damn bomb…

Hori EX2 is working fine for me($69).

That’s the one I have… Though I paid about 15 bucks more than you apparently… :frowning:

sorry haven t read all, but as someone saw the back forward + lk animation on video yet?
same with down back + lk animation.

is it like only one kick just like old sf?

did someone know if you can do the same all trick like down up lk then down up hk or down up lk then ultra?

i watched the video of him but …nothing

i dont know where but i know that his Light version of Dread Kicks still only is 1 kick
