Well if anything it at least let’s DC tell stories for these characters, BB & Manhunter for one have a big fanbase, and so far their stories were good IMO, and they may get better.
As for the $4 price tag …the price of comics has been increasing the past few years, and the way they make it so $2.99= 20 pages of 1 story, $1= 10 page of 1 story sounds OK to me, though if they made the price $3.50 or such, it would’ve been better I think.

The one with Batwoman. It was okay. I didn’t know that Batwoman used a gun. Hell I didn’t know that there even was a Batwoman before Final Crisis. I don’t know if I’m comfortable with a homosexual superhero having such a prominent role in the DC Universe. I guess it’s just a sign of the times.
This Batwoman first appeared in 52, also written by Rucka (partially). Made the newspapers and everything.
I don’t read newspapers and I haven’t read a single issue of either 52 or Countdown for personal reasons.
52 was a damn good read, when taken as a whole.

but the 400 page Shonen Jump is all reprint material, therefore the cost is low.
while the 30 Page comic is all new material.
Not to mention Jump is mostly B&W, while the 30 page comic is in color. With far higher quality paper to boot. I don’t buy many 4 dollar comics, but when I feel I’m getting my money’s worth (Detective Comics) I’ll do it.

Tony Daniel will replace Winnick/Bagley on Batman starting w/ Batman #691.
As I’ve said before, I’m a fan of Tony Daniel’s art and his writing was pretty good in BftC, so I’m looking forward to this.
I was hoping Bagley would stay on for more than four issues but this is good news all the same. 
I think Bagley’s next gig is JLofA. I forget who’s writing it, though. Probably someone lame.
