^w00t, I’ve been looking forward to them

Why are there so many Batman comics? You have Batman, Batman and Robin,Streets of Gotham, Red Robin, Detective Comics. What’s next? An Alfred comic?

Possible Candidiates for Black Lanterns…

Batman Streets of Gotham was awesome. Nice to see Dini write for Batman 2.0, if only just for a few panels here and there. Did not really care for the Manhunter back up story though.

There’s always been a crazy number of Batman monthlies.

Batman, Gotham Knights, Detective Comics…and then all the Bat-universe comics…Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Birds of Prey, Azrael…and then the dozen on-going Bat-minis any given week…

This is really just business as usual. If anything, there’s less Bat-books in rotation right now than usual.

Those were different. They were Bat-titles. Sure Batman would drop in here or there but they each had their own identity. Those guys did their own thing. Now there’s at least 3 main comics that star Batman. Batman dies and then he appears in more titles. What kind of sense does that make?

Fuck questions.

Loved Streets of Gotham. Cant wait for Gotham Sirens next week. Agent Orange also ends next week too.

Here is a funny regarding D-Mac and JLA

Some of those could end up being amazing. I still wish I hadn’t clicked it.

“Those were for charity”

KABOOM

WOOOOOO. SUCK IT GOODY.

Anyway I forgot comics come out once a month and missed Rebirth number 2 and will probably have no idea what is happening in number 3.

sigh

Also Fables!!!1111!!1 crossover?!

Streets of Gotham was pretty good. Dini’s Batman stuff has been overlooked (or perhaps overshadowed by Morrison’s), but I’ve been enjoying it. I still find Dini’s Batman comics to be among the better comics DC has produced the past few years. The only thing that sucked about Streets of Gotham is the price ($3.99) and the fact that it was only 21 pages with a 9 page Manhunter backup. I am just glad I didn’t spend my own money on that comic or I would have felt ripped off. (I read a buddy’s copy, Sano!!!)

Zephy, most DC comics are now gonna be 20 pages one story, 10 pages another story to make compensate for the $4 price tag.
The Blue Beetle Back-up in Booster Gold was very good, and so was the BG story as well.

Are you going to read his ‘Sirens’ book? I think I’ll pass on it. Art and story seem cool and everything but one Bat Boook from Dini feels like enough for me. I’m sticking with Streets.

I’ll read it as long as my friend buys it. I am not going to pay 4 bucks for a comic, especially if that comic is only 20 pages long with a back-up story I don’t want to read. What a rip off. I would honestly rather pay 4 bucks for a 22 page story. I refuse to pay 4 dollars for a normal comic book issue. DC got me with Seaguy because, well, it’s Morrison and Stewart, but also because the content actually felt worth the price. (Also, I would have to double-check the page counts, but I think those actually had more than 22 pages.)

Umm how so? How do you know the back-up story itself won’t interest you, or be a good story until you give it a try?

That’s not the point. It’s like ordering a sausage pizza from Dominos and getting a pizza that’s 3/4 sausage and 1/4 anchovies. What the hell is that? I ordered a sausage pizza and I want a sausage pizza. It’d be one thing if they warned me about some of the pizza having anchovies then I could just not order it but to spring it on someone like that is not cool.

Matrix and Zephy just nailed it on the head. 4 dollars is a lot for 30 page comic.

You can almost get a 400 page shonen jump for that price.

Well, it seems like you didn’t infer from my previous post that I read the entire Streets of Gotham comic. I did read Andreyko’s Manhunter back-up. Thus, I know for sure that the back-up will not interest me. (Also, I read the first year’s worth of Manhunter issues back when it was ongoing and still did not like it.)

I am not the guy who gets excited for a comic just because some shit like Wizard hypes it.
