Yeah the latest Batman issue was mad weird, the 2nd issue should clear everything up, but the references to old Batman stuff is awesome.

Yeah I dug the last issue of Batman. Early on I stopped trying to make sense of it and just enjoyed seeing Kubert draw Batman from different time periods. Was pretty cool.

Anyone else notice that the Violet and Blue Lanterns’ oaths contain a segment relating to the Blackest Night? Will the Oath change after the Blackest Night assuming these other Corps do remain?
So i re-read the part in SCW when they explained about all the colors and BL. Now orange is coming next month (i’m realy hyped for that arc) but there’s still the indigo color of compasion any signs of that?

Well, the Green Lantern oath has “Blackest Night” in it, too. I don’t think they’d change that one.
^Yeah but I doubt that when the oath was created years back it was in reference to the event itself, furthermore it is sometimes written/said as Darkest Night to avoid any racial offense.
The Violet Lantern’s Oath is-
“For hearts long lost and full of fright
For those alone in Blackest Night/blackest night
Accept our Ring and join our fight
Love conquers all with Violet Light”
Actually on 2nd consideration it is possible their oath isn’t a reference to the Blackest Night, but rather to how that are left alone in despair and darkness.
The Blue Lantern’s Oath-
“In fearful day, in raging night
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite
When all seems lost in the War of Light
Look to the stars for Hope burns bright”
The War of Light is also a reference to the Blackest Night as well.

Battle for the Cowl comes out tomorrow. I know some of you aren’t into Tony Daniel’s art, but I’m a fan and I’m interested in seeing how this will all come together for the real future of Batman and the series.
