Actually, the Robin in the Teen Titans cartoon is the most broken Robin ever… I miss that show… The comic too… :bluu: :sad:

Todd who got killed in the line of duty? Yeah he sucked so bad fans voted for him to die. That kind of obscures his entire career as Robin. Just as Robin though. Red Hood and Red Robin are different. I think Todd is gonna compete for Batman’s cowl too… Not 100% certain.
Currently both Jason Todd and Nightwing are depicted as being kind of even given their confrontations. NW had a slight edge in his book, JT had a slight edge in Outsiders. Both have beaten Tim Drake, NW did it in Ra’s Ressurection. But it’s a given due to the overall experience. Damian beat Tim the first time and Tim beat Damian the second time. Never read any of the comics where Spoiler did her Robin bit so don’t know where she ranks… Prolly low since DC doesn’t even acknowledge her Robin stint, per them actually saying that and her Robin outfit being absent from the Batcave…
I wasn’t into comics back then. What was so horrid about Todd that they wanted him aced?
IIRC it was more about Batman wanting to go solo again, and offing a Robin that wasn’t Dick Grayson, the original wasn’t as big a deal. So he had 2 things against him, living under DG’s shadow and people wanting a sidekick-less Batman. Course when he did die his fans came out of the woodwork and complained.
Prior to his death they made JT suck even more, being incompetent and a mama’s boy. Kind of like they were grooming him for his death, comics do that sometimes when they know the axe is gonna fall. I’m not too sure when they retconned his origin, originally he was on orphaned acrobat just like DG. Then they made him a thief who tried to steal the Batmobile’s hubcaps or something like that. Making JT a former criminal probably didn’t help things.
Funny, same exact thing happened with Cypher in New Mutants on Marvel’s end. People wrote letters for years telling Marvel to kill Cypher because he was useless and once they did it, people were upset, his fans came out of the woodwork too.
Goes to show you, if you love certain characters you need to be adamant about it, write letters, E-Mails, etc. Not that they won’t get offed anyway for storyline’s sake, but still it helps and especially if they are a B / C listers, those guys are always on the chopping block.
For argument’s sake death wasn’t the revolving door back then as it is nowadays in funny books when JT and Cypher died. Not that people didn’t come back from the grave but it didn’t happen as often with heroes…

Good lord! The more I research, it seems like Todd’s a mini-Punisher!! Which brings me to question the hypocrisy of the anti-killing code of conduct Bats has. Supes has killed before though, as have many others that (for lack of a better phrase) worked “alongside” Batman. So why come down so hard on Huntress and Jason/Red Hood/Red Robin?
Being Batman he cares more what his proteges (kind of like his surrogate children if you will) and people do when they are in ‘his town’ than he does for other people. A simplistic way to put it, you care more about what your child or sibling does or what people do in your apartment compared to what your coworker at your job does. Yes, it is a rather simplistic way of looking at things but it’s the best way I can explain it.

Superman is also taking a break from AC and Nightwing and Flamebird(the 2 kryptonians who guarded the Phantom Zone in the FOS in New Krypton) will be the main characters

I’d figure, Dick Grayson. He’s the closest to actually being Batman. Not as good of a detective, not as strong and not as good as a fighter, but I think he could be interesting in his own way as Batman.

Tim Drake is out of the equation. Because in Teen Titans, Tim Drake reiterated that he never ever wanted to don the Batman cowl.
So it’s basically Grayson, Todd and for arguments sake Damian Wayne?
Do you think it’s possible that the cancellation of Night Wing coincides with Grayson potentially becoming the next Batman?
Oh yeah and another thing, about the DC Holy Trinity(Of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman).
Well Batman is basically the fail safe against Superman should he turn evil(Even walking around with kryptonite on his person). But is there a fail safe if Wonder Woman goes evil? Who would be able to stop her? She has no weaknesses like Kryptonite as far as I know

Batman is a failsafe to both of them. If you read tower of Babel arc, Ra’s Al Ghul used Batman’s method in defeating Wonder Woman.
