You know, I heard that Sano is a huge continuity pornography trafficker. Word on the streets is that even though he hates what Marvel did in One More Day, he CONTINUES to buy and read Spider-Man comics… JUST BECAUSE HE NEEDS HIS SPIDEY FIX
LOL well Slott and JRjr are the only ones I dig on the book in all honesty. But Slott’s next arc deals with Harry coming back to life and JRjr’s next arc is under Gugg who I don’t like on Spidey, so for now that’s getting a double pass from me. Slott will write Eddie Brock again in Spider-Man Extra 2, that will probably be it for now. BND, well at 3 issues a month it’s a book you REALLY have to support. Marvel was pretty smart with that move actually, the people who dropped dropped, and the people who pick it up now are forced to buy 3 issues monthly. There is a drop off but it’s still not enough for Marvel to change things back right now though.
Hey, continuity minded peeps have their advantages. I know that Spidey’s future still includes Spider-Girl and Spider-Man 2099 no matter what the Spider-Man comic does because of ASM issue 439 where the far future shows both of them existing. Only thing up in the air for me is if May was already born or if she will be born later, but according to that issue she still happens. So that’s my ideal future for Marvel right now. Shhh, just don’t tell JQ who has obviously never read that issue because otherwise he will change the fine print of the Joephisto, um I mean Mephisto deal. :looney:
EDIT: Batman RIP is crazy. Wow another on topic post from yours truly. Must not… disrupt the DC Comics Thread continuity…
Supergirl 35 was good, and they explain why she’s been having mood swings and whatnot from the first issues of her series.
Batgirl and the Outsiders #13
[details=Spoiler]Issue begins with Langstrom attacking some InterGang members in one of Penguin’s places. Cass then appears in hopes of recruiting him. Cut to another building where Johnny Stiches is in and is attacked by Vigilante. Vigilante is then attacked by someone with stealth gear is sent outside the building. He finds out its Spoiler who was investigating Johnny. Batgirl stops their fight, and attempt to recruit them as well.
Batgirl is then at the Cave where it is shown how she is trying to recruit various people to form a new Outsiders team. After Cass leaves, Rick comes in and checks on the candidates and decides to have a talk with her.
Kind of a short issue, but we get an idea of who’ll be on the team[/details]
The first step is admitting that you have a problem.
I’ll go first.
I’m buying the new Batgirl miniseries just because I want to see the reconning of the character firsthand, even though it is an absolutely atrocious comic, which I would normally not even touch even if I got it for free.
I also do this regularly for all Beta Ray Bill related projects.
I haven’t messed with Batgirl since the moment a Metahuman showed her how to speak English with his powers. Silent assassin who can only speak with fighting moves and reading people’s movements was like one of the greatest ideas ever. I still can’t believe they got rid of that so early on just so people could put word balloons above her head.
I’m very late to the party, not being on here when I bought it, but I wanted to know your takes on the new “Joker” graphic novel? Was it on the same level as the oft cited masterpiece “The Killing Joke”? Or does it barely make ripples in the ever expanding comic book pool?
I loved it for the sheer fact that it wasn’t Joker doing the talking and chatting, but one of his henchmen who I really enjoyed. He was cynical and looking out for number one, which was perfect. His relationship with the Joker was very interesting, if a bit odd.
Joker himself was just so…out there, I don’t think I’ve read anything else that comes close to this version of Joker. Also, for once in the entirety of comics Harley Quinn was more intimidating than a box of Cheerios.
I enjoyed the read through and was happy I was able to read it. It didn’t terrify me the way some comic reviewers were taking it, nor did it bore me to tears. It was just a great Joker tale that successfully delved into his psyche and showed us a little more of the mystery.
so RIP is done with 681 and i must say i still don’t understand who the fuck is the black glove
681
[details=Spoiler] so we got the club of losers helping Robin which was kinda cool, Jezebl explaining her connection to the BG (her adoptive father won her in a BG bet),
Joker GTAing an ambulance only to be hitted by mistake by Damien riding the new Batmobile with Alfred riding shotgun,
and than Dr. Hurt facing Batman (who seem to be back to normal cause you know he is Batman and he was actuly preaperd for the all BG attack) and Hurt giving the all “I’m Thomas Wayne” speech but Bruce saying that he is not Thomas and than Hurt pretty much confirm it, than Hurt jump into a helicopter with the fake batman piloting it, Bruce jumps after him the fake batman lose control and chopper crush’ than we got a realy cool page of Nightwing holding the cape and cowl.
story ends with another flashback (black and red ofcourse) of kid Bruce with his parents going out from the Mask of Zorro movie and Bruce saying that a masked hero can be realy cool but Thomas saying that they will probaly put him in Arkham’ oh and some shadow figure is looking from th back[/details]
Batman 681- wat?
Superman 682
[details=Spoiler]
The Kryptonians have started attacking and abducting Supes and Kara’s enemies (Bizarro, Banshee, etc.) and sending them to the Phantom Zone.
When Clark learns of this he goes and confronts his uncle. Unbeknowst to Kara and her father, the Kryptonians have killed some of the Science Police.
Issue ends with some guy called MonEl surrounded by the villains[/details]
After reading The Kingdom one-shot…I’m worried about how the Gog arc’s gonna end, I mean it all feels like it was just a good story but with no ‘remaining effects’ that’ll be seen in future stories throughout the DCU

I’ve read some of John Rogers’ work form Boom! Studios and I don’t think he’s enough to get me to try it. Also, didn’t he write the screenplay to the Transformers (2007) movie? If it’s the same John Rogers, I can’t read any of his comics any more, just on principle.
Aw, the world doesn’t need another lousy stereotypical Asian man with a microscopic wang. Someone needs to ask Carpet Ling what he thinks about this.

Is Dick Grayson pretty much the strongest Robin ever?
Oh yeah and did he knockout Batman like he did in the Cartoon when they had their falling out?
Debatable if he’s the strongest. Tim Drake is more of a martial artist, Dick Grayson is more of an acrobot who applies martial art skills.
IMHO he is a much better leader than Tim Drake is, he has better leadership abilities that even Batman doesn’t have due to his experience with the Teen Titans. Current Tim on Teen Titans is still kind of learning as he goes in comparison.
Dick Grayson didn’t knock out Batman like he did in the cartoon in either Dixon’s interpretation of their falling out or Marv Wolfman’s. Dixon’s is the better interpretation though, Batman tells Dick Grayson “YOU’RE FIRED!” several years before Donald Trump’s Apprentice was on the air, makes it really funny if you read it now. Basically in that interpretation, he was spending too much time between his sidekick gig and Teen Titans gig and Batman wanted him around more, so he fired him. Then Dick Grayson went on to become Nightwing prior to returning to Teen Titans. In a nutshell.
sano you continuity pornographer
Not calling me a Skrull anymore? OH WAIT A MINUTE DC THREAD… Um, lump of Clayface clay come to life and taking Sano’s place? :looney:
