Does anyone have a opinion on Kingdom Come Superman vs Batman?
Dick Grayson said he didn’t want to be Batman repeatedly as well. But all of the evidence in Nightwing’s own book, Batman RIP and Batman issue 666 is pointing to DG being the next Batman. Can all be misdirection though.
So anyone read the new Batman issue (682)? I think I know what’s going on, but I need someone to confirm or tell me that I’m wrong.

So, is this after the last issue? Master Simyan and the gold guy (who is he?) found Batman’s body and are using “The Lump” to create perfect clones of Batman to use as an army? “The Lump” is in Batman’s head, posing as Alfred in this dream world, triggering his memories so he can collect them, right? So are some of these things (Batwoman, Doctor Hurt meeting him) we’re seeing events that actually happened or stuff that he’s making up or that The Lump is jumbling up in his head?[/details]

Haven’t read my copy yet but yeah it was confirmed ahead of time that it would take place after RIP and tie things into Final Crisis. Just had time to check the first few pages before heading back to my job but yeah, makes sense that it takes place after with Bruce jacked up and Alfred quiting. Not that I know what happens after what I read and Morrison’s crazy so…

Well I know that he is trying to lump every Batman comic book story ever told within Batman and Detective(regardless of crisises and what not) into one cohesive universe in his run too make a 15 year history for the guy. Hella interesting, gotta say.

Appreciate that bit of info, Signore Cody :tup:. This warms my heart. My uncle gave me his old Milestone comics (I still have Hardware: Angry Black Man on my shelf, one of the few that didn’t get wiped out due to Katrina), which is what got me into comics overall.
I want to get hype. I really do…but something tells me most will become fodder, and that saddens me. I’d hate to see Xombi return, only to get wiped out by “Bolt” or some shit like that.
I had been about to post that. Not sure how to feel about that. I can see quite a bit of Fables not making the transition.
