DC Comics Thread

52’s confusing me…
Firstly, why the heck is Skeets going around trying to kill people?

Secondly

Spoiler

I didn’t get Booster’s plan with Rip exactly, can someone break it down for me?

The answers will pop up later in the story. What issue are you on? Use spoilers for the 2nd question and I’ll try to explain the plan (if I can) unless its “yet to be revealed”.

^I’m at week 40-41 IIRC. I’ll try to finish it off tonight and see ur reply by 2morrow.

Haha, that’s not what I meant by spoilering the 2nd question, but I see why you thought that. I meant spoiler a comment about what you didn’t get about their plan. I kinda remember what’s going on, but I’ll read through the issues again if I need to. Let me know what you think.

U guys still read countdown or you gave up on it cause it actuly becoming decent dare i even say almost good in the last two books

I’ve still been picking it up. I know its not as good as 52 (yes, I liked 52), but its decent. And once I started it, I figured I should finish up the series. Haven’t read the last issue yet though.

OK, so I finished 52 and now for the questions

52

[details=Spoiler]1- OK so I’m still at a loss as to WTF Booster and Rip were planning so can someone explain this plz?
2- So basically there in fact a total or around 52 worlds remaining after the recent Crisis right?
3- When did Mind possess Skeets?
4- What’s Bruce been doing exactly during the events of 52?[/details]

1)hmmm if im not mistaken going back before Mind became so freakin powerfull
2)yep 52 get ready for more headache
3)probaly from the first day of the 52 weeks when he started to go wrong could be wrong here
4)Bruce as in Batman he went to smoke some good weed and to “find himself”

plz tell me if i should edit for spoilers

Has anyone else checked out Batman: Ego, by Darwyn Cooke? I was a little skeptical at first, and I found it to be a little ham-fisted, but overall it’s very good B:TAS style storytelling. Cooke’s got skills.

Clinty and I have been pimping Ego for years. Just not to you guys.

What is it about?

Justice Society of America 12 supports Black History Month.

Ego? It’s an introspective nightmare in which Bruce Wayne and Batman have a confrontation, and basically rip on each other’s perceived weaknesses and flaws.

Now that sounds interesting, gotta check that out.

It’s available in an anthology of Darwyn Cooke’s stories called Batman: Ego, and Other Tales. I haven’t read the other stuff in the collection, but the Catwoman story is supposed to be good.

Last night I read DC Vitrigo published book called Cairo and IMO it’s a great read and I strongly recommend it.
I’d tell what it’s about but I might spoil it, so I guess you’ll have to read it to know about it ;).

I’ve been thinking of reading Batgirl, but I wanna read the series that has Cassandra (the ex-assassin that has trouble talking or such) in it. Which Volume issue of Batgirl does she start in and how long is it?

Oh and I’ve been reading Supergirl Vol. 5, I liked some of the stuff in it, but how in heck did she
Supergirl #7

[details=Spoiler]End up in a planet that Ultraman/Evil Superman’s controlling? …and how’d Powergirl get there as well?
Speaking of Powergirl which Supergirl is she?[/details]

Just watched an advanced version of Justice League: New Frontier.

Definitely a lot better then the disapointment that was Superman: Doomsday. I wasn’t a big fan of the classic golden age/old school art-style in Justice League though but I was still entertained.
