Has anybody read the series Superman: Strength, written by Scott McCloud? I spotted it at the comic book store today, and it looked intriguing. Has anyone read it? Is it any good? I’ve read Understanding Comics and I think it’s genius, so I’m interested in seeing how McCloud fares with fiction.
I remember when Strength came out. I was always waiting for the TRADE, BABY, but those jerks never bothered collecting it. I’m sure it’s not too bad. I doubt the guy who did Understanding Comics and ZOT! would hack out a piece of junk.
Oh yeah, and some jerks need to republish all of ZOT! as well.

I haven’t seen any Sin Corps spoilers, yet, but that’s prolly because I haven’t picked up a new book in about two weeks.

Why did Teen Titans #50 devote an entire issue to making Bart look like an idiot?
Okay, so there were some genuinely funny moments, but a lot of the shit they say happened just never did.
the character is developed enough that they could’ve reflected on any number of ACTUAL events, but chose to make some shit up.
and why didn’t they mention the sacrifice of his SCOUT in OWAW?, or any of his numerous HEROIC deeds?, why just focus on the goofy shit?
and why the FUCK do we need Tim telling us he never took Bart seriously?, they were best friends, I don’t believe it a bit.
What really did it for me was the panel in which Bart revealed everybody’s Secret ID. Bart wasn’t THAT irresponsible, he KNEW the importance of keeping a Secret ID, ESPECIALLY Robin’s, which he was smart enough to figure out on his own, by the way.

Read Countdown, JLA Wedding Special and Booster Gold #2. All pretty good reads… a lot more action than I expected in JLA Wedding Special. Booster Gold is still going pretty strong, in my opinion, good humor but not too cheesy. Countdown was decent… question for anyone following Sinestro Corps

Picked up JLA wedding special and Green Lantern.
JLA wedding special was a good read. Lots of humor. Batman is the king of preparation… even for batchelor partys. Looking forward to the rest of the arc in JLA.
Haven’t read Green Lantern yet.

basically it showed him as a regular ass green lantern, no more parallax, and obviously no more ion. another comic (maybe the same one, a few of them had the spoiler) even went as far as to say “his old business cards that said ion were no good anymore.” also, it looks like guy nor hal (or even john stewart) are rocking out ion either, since both of them are wearing rings. good job dc.

Yeah I heard that on the Nightwing forums joint is depressing. There’s no way I can sit through Winnick messing up the OG Titans. Pass… I’ve read enough Outsiders issues to knows he sucks… :tdown:
I pray he will just have a run for 12 issues and will be replaced so I can pick the book up later on.
Looking forward to Tomasi’s run on Nightwing though what he said about the character sounds fun.
