That was a joke.
I don’t want to be ‘big name’ comics. If I wrote, it would be indie all the way.

Just read the green lantern corps omg great…epic
Has anyone seen the dark knight trailer yet?
I’ve seen the teaser. If you’re talking about the longer one, I saw that too, but it was bootleg as shit.
If your talking bout the one when its all black and then alfred is talking yeah, i like that one cuz i like the way joker talks.
Watches for the 15th time
Will the new issue of Green Lantern be coming out this week? The Sinestro Corps storyline is good & it’s the SOLE reason why I’m buying it.Sinestro put the together one hell of a group.I have a question about Parallax though. He has possessed Hal Jordan & now Kyle Rayner & more than likely Kyle will fight him out of his system. If that happens, who do you guys think Parallax will possess next?
I think you have to wait one more week. But yeah, it kicks ass. It’s a shame DC didn’t pimp the hell out of it more- but I’ve had lots of trouble getting copies of everything. Had to hit Raleigh to get one, and had to torrent another one.
I drive anime fans a bit nuts sometimes when I say GL is the best shonen-style series being produced right now, but really- it is.
Finished reading some countdown, and i feel so bad for jimmy the justice league beat the shit outta him and he still didn’t manage to use his powers
Booster Gold was the hottest shit I read. Read it now.
Read
yeah it was pretty fucking good, i’m looking forward to it (i think i may have said that already but it’s good enough to warrant a repeat).
also, i know how for sinestro corps, each herald is getting his own 1-shot, but i don’t know when SBP’s is coming out. can anyone assist? also, to add on - how is the anti-monitor only getting a 1-shot? lol… i really don’t think that “spoiled” anything for anyone (knowing what’s getting released).
Countdown was crazie
Countdown blows. I just finished reading the second, of my three week catchup, and GL Corps was the tightest thing ever.
didio hate is sooo old
DC books I read recently.
Batman Annual - Pretty interesting origin story of Ra’s only I saw the ending coming a mile away. Course knowing that Damian is gonna team up with Nightwing and Robin to fight Ra’s in the future kind of gives a lot of the story away in itself. Ah, solicitations…
Teen Titans - Man, this was great! Cool recollection on Bart’s life and even a flashback story by Wolfman and Perez, OG TT was most def in the house. Looking forward to the rest of McKeever’s run.
Teen Titans Go! - Lol they brung out Starfire’s brother Wildfire who’s origin was similar to Superman’s, he was put in a space capsule and sent away by his parents when he was a baby ha ha! I hope he didn’t crash into baby Goku’s space capsule. :looney:
Ninja Scroll - Say word now Jubei is beasting Vampires oh yeah he’s gotten tired of murdering monsters based on Japanese folklore so he’s branching out! Good fun.
I’m two weeks behind…prolly won’t get new books until next week.
oh well.
Your crazy man :lame:
On the other hand, at least Deathy can string together a post that’s more than one sentence long.
I know, right? My taste in comics is CRAZY good.
Oh, did you read last week’s Batman Annual, Zephy? Very good shit right there. I think that is the definitive Ra’s Al Ghul origin. You can’t get any better than that. It obviously will lead into more stuff seeing as how the next issue of Batman just hints at “Lazarus rising!”. Very good material by Peter Milligan. That dude needs to write Batman monthly. Fuck Grant Morrison and his acid trips, although, I will admit his latest Batman arc has been fun to read with all of these B-list heroes. Too good.
Teen Titans #50 left much to the imagination. It was a good issue when it focused on Bart’s funeral and whatnot, but then it was setting up the Titans of Tomorrow. Funny how HE is still Superman. It makes me want to just run a knife through my head. But fuck it, I’ll take it for what it is. THEY SO BETTER NOT FUCK THIS UP!!!
The last two Countdowns SUCKED!!! I can’t stress this enough. I’ll keep buying it because I like to keep my posts all factual and shit, unlike the rest of SRK or any maxx post(he doesn’t read comics). It’s just a slow book right now. I mean, there isn’t anything worth noting in the book at the moment. It’s building up to nothing right now. “HEY! LET’S FOLLOW THE ADVENTURES OF EVERY FUCKING HERO IN THE DCU WHICH WILL HAVE NO RAMIFICATIONS DEALING WITH THE MAJOR CROSSOVER WE HAVE PLANNED FOR '08!!!”
So far, the only books DC is giving me bang for my buck are: JSA, Green Lantern, GL Corps, and Booster Gold(if you’re not reading this, you suck). Amazon Attacks and Wonder Woman have been OKAY books. I don’t see how ANY of this deals with Final Crisis, but WHATEVER.
I just have to read Action Comics(Escape from Bizarro World?! OH NOES!) and last week’s Countdown. I know Action Comics will be good because Johns and Donner have been pretty consistent with the book. This IS what Superman Returns should have been.
A bit overzealous? Maybe, but when you got some punk by the username of Nightwing1990(who KNOWS NOTHING about comics) telling you you’re crazy for not enjoying a mediocre book like Countdown? You just have to go all out. Guns blazing. Niggas know what’s good.
I’m probably missing a couple of gems, but I doubt they’re anything noteworthy of being considered gems. That’s right, because my standards are higher than Nightwing1990’s.
Yeah, the Batman Annual was some good crap right there. The art was really good. It sort of reminded me of Marcos Martin’s work. And they even got the colorist from 100 Bullets to do that! Man, more Batman comics need her to color. Just look how perfect the Broken City arc was.
Milligan’s new DC comic, Infinity Inc., came out this week, too. I didn’t check it out, though. I assume that it will be collected into TPBs, seeing as how it’s a 52 spinoff. It looks all right, though- hopefully it’ll be the Real Peter Milligan and not the “I Need To Pay Rent Milligan” we got on X-Men and Spider-Man.
Milligan did have a run on Batman and Detective Comics back in the early '90s. This was pre-Knightfall. I have managed to track down several of those issues, and they completely stand the test of time. Most of them are done-in-one type tales that actually have Batman showing off his detective skills. He also had a creepy 3-part Riddler story that was crucial. It would be pretty great if Milligan did another chunky run on Batman.
