Fuck this game, it’s all bout budokai 3. They need to bring those back
Wait, Tekken ISN’T?!

When you get into territory where major rollback will happen (EG: Me playing someone from Hong Kong), just think about the mass amount of input lag that would happen on any other netcode.
Basically, HDR netcode and GGPO made a lot of previously unplayable people playable for me. You put those same connections in any other netcode, and the frame and input lag just becomes unbearable, it starts looking like a SNK title. (I had to go there…)
Not that I’m saying the obscene rollback against HK players is a good thing, because I refuse to play certain regions online period just because I never get good connections from those regions. But I see much better results from rollback-based netcode than input lag based netcode period.
Playing Tekken at this present time, Soul Calibur, any SNK title, and Street Fighter 4 on weak connections, pretty much proves my point.
I understand how rollbacks work. They’re good in global situations, but I still think BB netcode takes the cake.
I’m personally satisfied to be able to play coast to coast with 2 frames of input delay. Something that t6 can’t even accomplish
I will agree that for input delay based netcode, BlazBlue takes the cake, and it is one of the best netcodes I’ve ever seen. With that said though, even with their good netcode, those connections I deemed unplayable previously still aren’t playable because of high amounts of input lag or obscene frame delays.
In less than optimal conditions, even putting BlazBlue’s code on the table, I would rather have a rollback based netcode over input delay netcode.
reading your posts im curious on what paradigm the bb netcode works, i know that suposedly ponder worked with aksys as a consultant for the netcode, so there maybe some kind of mix up between rollback and input delay there (just speculating here).
Tenkaichi is for people that wanna be godlike beings and fuck niggas shit up.
Budokai is for people who want a slightly more legit fighter that happens to have DBZ characters.
Fuck Budokai series though. Piccolo has been too fucking good since Budokai 3 and he has yet to be nerfed. Tell me he was nerfed in Infinite world. Fuck that guy and his safe ass P strings.
He was nerfed in infinite world; although he still has the most useful super attack or whatever they called it (can’t remember). Goku now has a bunch of stuff to make him better that he really didn’t need, and Pikon (sp?) is pretty good as well. Still fair balance I would say but Goku did not need his buffs (and I’m saying that even though I play him and Kid Goku).
lol i must get this game … fan of dbz
Eh… Super Dragon Ball Z >>>> BUDOKAI and Tenkaichi
yeah, me too, but with t6 and mw2 i will have to wait until t6he next pay check (the fact that my sister crached my moms car didnt help either)
that its very subjective, its like EmblemLord said, i like to be a godlike being so thats why i preffer Tenkaichi over budokai and even more over SDBZ
SDBZ is the only DBZ game I’ve been able to watch happily. The others I can barely stomach.
Also I’m keeping track. I remember when everyone was backing Burst Limit and then the game came out and within ONE DAY maybe two people were still playing. Let’s see if RB suffers the same fate.
I hated that people could mash out teleports like jackasses too. “Oh I just hit you!” "Fuck that!"mashes
Man, I remember the days of Quake 2 and 3 when 100 ms ping would mean your rocket and rails would come out a half a second late and fuck your timing up.
I don’t see how HDR, a game that had the best retail(netcode provided by the company that made the game, not GGPO) netcode of any fighting game when it came out, had overrated netcode. Say what you want about sirlin and his balance changes, but HDR netcode is boss dude. You can seriously level up your offline game playing HDR online.
This is the truth.
GGPO netcode shits all over Blazblue’s, period. The only games that run poorly are Jojo and 3rd Strike. GGPO’s netcode became leaps and bounds better from when it first started out. Man, Glory, you keep commenting on GGPO’s netcode when you’ve said many times that you haven’t been on it in like more than a year.
Slide and I hated when it first came out because there was too much rollbacking and teleporting and shit, but they fixed all that aaaages ago.
Anyone complaining about GGPO is playing 3rd Strike, I can guarantee it. The higher your ping gets, the more resources GGPO uses to hide the lag. Unless you’ve got a really really beefy computer, playing 3S with people over like 70ms is very difficult (unless you turn the frame delay way up, which defeats the purpose). I’ve got a pretty decent 'rig, and I can only play people up to about 120ms at frame delay 1-2 before the skipping becomes noticeable.
Go play ST or A3 or something with people at like 200ms though. I can guarantee it’ll run perfectly smooth at 0 frame delay unless you have a shit computer.
The netcode on VF5, SF4, Blazblue and even HDR are trash in comparison.
I’ve already stated in this thread that I haven’t played GGPO in a long time, so I don’t really know what the point of you clarifying that is. Plus everything I say about GGPO is usually positive. Last time I played GGPO was A2 and 3s which both had problems. A2 not as prevalent but it still had anomalies and host advantages that the alpha version of GGPO did not. Trust me I know what a good game in GGPO is like.
The fact you brought up that some games don’t run that well on GGPO states that you think GGPO has it’s limits. Everyone just says GGPO this and that all the time, yet you know that 3rd strike and JOJO can’t run it that well. I’m not gonna get too deep into it, but maybe consoles can’t handle this code that well either. Console hardware really isn’t that beefy.
As we already know, HDR certainly doesn’t run nearly as good as GGPO does. Out of all console games and their current netcodes, if I had my choice I’d pick BB in a heart beat. You have to look at what you have and make a decision based on that. We could all say GGPO for every game, but whether or not it’s possible is another thing. What I know is possible is what I’ve played on console. That being the best netcodes, BB, VF5, and SF4
It’s a different situation. The reason 3S and Jojo don’t run well is that they were never properly emulated, so it takes a lot more resources to run them properly than it should.
3s uses a lot of resources. SF4 may use more resources. Consoles aren’t that powerful. There may be truth to what Capcom is saying about GGPO and SF4 if all this is true. GGPO was great for older stuff though, KOF and Samsho especially.
are u retarded or just stupid?
