I read your 4 argument a page back, and I will say, against high level players, the game isn’t boring. Console characters are not as bad as I thought…and it looks like I have to practice this game now or face the wrath of Marn :wgrin:

Did you look at the list of names for ST/HDR? I’m not ashamed at all to have placed so low. And I learned A LOT in casuals with NKI and Damdai (played probably 4 hours both nights with them).
Honestly, I can’t progress any further in ST without experience with top level players, and that’s precisely what I got. My game has gotten a lot better just from SEEING top level play in action and talking to NKI/Damdai about what was happening. I’m beginning to understand thinking at a top level, now I just have to start to play at a top level.

Nope, no shame at all. I honestly did my best, wowed the crowd a bit with some clutch combos, got some pats on the back from Damdai (as well as a lot of good advice from both NKI and Damdai, really stand up guys), stepped up my game, and had fun.
I’m well aware that some of you will say I’m bad at the game behind my back, but honestly, say it to my face. This was a very humbling experience, and I accept that I’m extremely bad at the game. I mean, I’m not bad in a local sense, but, no offense, players that are locally good are soooooooo far down the food chain from players that are nationally good. I have a long way to go.

Dayton’s not bad, I wish we had more comp though. Oh well, a few years and a move out west might do it :wonder:
I did mean it in a good way. With people placing , and even getting word of mouth about their play means were a threat.

I mean obviously comp is great and it starts with matchups…but uh, details even if it’s just PM. That’s where I had my money if I was to bet on anyone breaking through.
No offense Jordyn, but I don’t know enough ST to know how close YOU were to breaking in. Obviously just a competition and experience thing for you so…eh I don’t know. I know you’re better then all of us…but I don’t know enough about high level stuff to have made that determination.
