Yeah, I agree with you. Pretty sure you can buffer the double tap version to come out immediately after he recovers from smart bombs whereas I tend to get normals to come out if I try and mash out the buttons for the dash. Plus, there’s no real risk of the taps getting in the way of any other inputs in this case.

Actually, that a good point, you could buffer the dash easier in that situation with 66 than buttons.

For what it’s worth, I do the airthrow combo by multi-tapping A+B so B will come out after the dash (OSing Dash and jB I guess) and then go from there.

the airdash combo for me got really simple once i learned to use L smartbombs and to delay the jumping :h:

after that its super simple to do and the only real hard part is landing the airthrow at the right height in the first place.

I’ve been practicing the combo on taskmaster, since he has a slightly odd hitbox. So I figured it would be ebst to try it out on a hard character to land it on.

Which version of smart bomb should I use for the combo exactly, or does that depend on height?

use light imo throws scale a lot already

Got an annoying problem.

while doing simple bnb (c.l,c.m,h,s->j.mmh2h,j.m2hs->dash,smart bomb, proton cannon), the proton cannon refuses to come out. I checked my inputs (they are correct, no missing directions) and my timing (trying to cancel while the smart bombs come out and hit the opponent) at least 2 dozen times (no joke).

can anybody help out, because I have no idea what i’m doing wrong… >___<

Do you have the meter. I can’t count the number of times I thought something was broke before I remembered I switched off infinite meter in training.

i have meter. I always forget to set the meter refill OFF, so i’m sure I have meter; lol.

if you want, I can record it next time it happens. I should say it doesn’t happen all the time, but still, maybe like 20% for me, which is totally unacceptable. Iron man is one of my mains (Spider-Man/IM/Wesker), and it’s a shame that I can’t even depend on him 100 percent to do even simple combos

With the Akuma assist nerf coming up, and I know Iron Man is changing, I still want to learn how to play him to add him to my team, but I can’t get

I can’t get the H to connect after the unfly and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong there. Please help.

what i did was try and plink it , well its not really plinking but you get the idea of how fast you need to press it

You just need to do the double jump part faster, it’s really that simple. Don’t hesitate when pressing any of those last 3 buttons.

Could you transcribe the inputs to your air to air combo without flight?

I couldn’t really tell from the video, so I just recorded myself doing the combo on Wesker. Maybe you can figure it out by watching. (Note: I didn’t do the optimal buttons after the superjump for some reason…shrug)

so ironman can do some nice shit off of tac’s:

down tac to immediate ADDF D+h (wiff) relaunch with H,S r just do iron avanger or proton cannon etc etc… i encourage anyone not using these to experiment.

Id think you’d want to take advantage of the fact that after a tag hitstun scaling doesn’t exist until you land again - but those are very good options as well

very true to both of you. i know about the SB loop but thats only corner afaik whereas the ones i mentioned are anywhere… i like anywhere combos.

also i think he has some universal options from an immediate down airdash no matter which direction he tacs from… which is nice… but the timings change… moves stay the same. i just mentioned them cause ive never seen any ironmen use the down airdashes before and it seems pretty good to get off a super/lvl3/relaunch from ironman outside corners and is universal.
