Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

I was alternating between the Dark Sword and Yhorms Great Machete but I think I’m replacing the Machete with the Black Knight Great Axe. That thing does absurd damage. I almost killed the first boss at the beginning of Journey 3 before he had a chance to transform.

Tried a Falchion run, and instantly regretted it. It’s super fast as a two hander, but slow as balls one handed…

Try the Carthus Curved Sword instead.

Yhorm’s might be better than BKGA after BKGA’s fairly big nerfs (lower damage and increased stamina usage).

I get three swings out of both, BKGA still seems to do more damage.

BKGA definitely does more damage but I think Yhorm’s has more reach and is faster. BKGA got hit pretty hard by the nerf bat. Not sure if worth using anymore. :frowning:

Is there a PvE weapon tier list out there?

what are the best weapons for riposte damage for str builds and dex builds (seperately, not a str/dex build)?

I’m tired of being behind the meta so i need to have a off-hand weapon that can 1-shot with riposte

Im sure there are some weapon tier list out there, but here is a google doc of all the weapon stats and shit

I was going to go ahead and get the third ending but I think I’ll hold off. I don’t want to get too far into NG+ before the DLC.

If I wanted to start putting some points into a stat solely to use a weapon buff, what do you guys suggest? I used Yhoels level ups to get Intelligence high enough that I could use Magic Weapon but it doesn’t really add much. Only doing like 15 more damage than usual.

If I remember right item buffs are flat buffs and thus much better then magic buffs and require 0 stat investment to use.

I guess that’s probably a smarter move. I was just going to experiment a little with miracles and sorceries since I have never really used them much. And this particular character is high level so I don’t really have anything to use the souls on.

Item buffs are less powerful than magic as a trade off.

No I hear you, I still use the magic buffs on my Faith build (when I’m not rockin that Executioners Sword) I just wouldn’t make a magic build just for buffs. the magic buffs are more like a nice bonus to go with your spells then a reason to actually make that kind of build. They can even still be argued as a waste of magic slot due to item buffs so…yea.

I thought it was the other way around, I remember (and could be remembering wrong) that magic buffs generally tend to be weaker then the item buffs.

So the reason the Japanese call the Twin Prince greatsword the “Homo Sword” is because of an implied incestual homosexual relationship between the two.

Being a huge fan of both incest and homosexuality, I feel like this is something I would have picked up on. Did anyone get this impression when they fought them? Maybe it was lost in translation.

This is also just what I read in that Reddit thread about the PvP weapon tiers, so take it with a grain of salt.

lol no aside from them “Merging” into one person with one of them riding the others back I got no homosexual or incestial tones from that fight…AT ALL. Even the merging thing didn’t come off as homo to me, but people like to make to make context where there is very little to none. Look at all the people already shipping Tracer and Widow from Overwatch after all.

I assumed the merging was some kind of reference to Fina, the goddess referenced in the ring of Favor and Protection. Since he climbs on his back and wraps his arms around him. I don’t know if there’s any lore to back this up but it’s what came to my mind.

The impression a friend got was that the one on the back was a girl. He was talking to me about the boss and his response was, “Oh I gotta kill the bitch first.” Then he realized it was a male.

I told him he would get fired from his job for thinking that was a girl… but lucky he’s in Canada.

EDIT: I don’t feel like looking through reddit for information on incest.

My nigga said not even a reguar ol’ fan, but a HUGE fan
