Yeah, dark souls 1 definitely feels, and is much larger than dark souls 3. I love dark souls 3, but yeah its definitely tighter space than dark souls 1. Tighter space in dark souls 3 with more enemies/npc’s, and dark souls 1 was much larger with either not many enemies, or just enough.
We’ll see how future DLC areas change this. I would personally say dark souls 1 is still the better game overall so far, but not by a huge margin.
I keep saying i want a boss only mode because the bosses are one of my favorite things in dark souls 3.
Dark souls 1 bosses have something that dark souls 3 bosses dont have though. Dark souls 3 doesnt have bosses that can easily be defeated with shortcuts. Like the Izalith boss who you can beat in under a minute by just throwing firebombs in two distinct areas to destroy the bubble things, and then running through and killing the boss with 1 hit. Or like the other boss in the demon ruins lake where you can run to the gray mist border, wait, destroy its limb, and it kills the entire boss in like 8 hits or so with a bk halberd.
All dark souls 3 bosses are like nah, no tricks, prepare to fight. You can parry a lot of them though because there are more non giant bosses in ds3.
I already have 70% of all the trophies. Just need some of those “collect everything ever” trophies, but the Darkmoon Covenant is broken right now so yeah. Might be a while.
Meh, I mean, 3 had a few gimmick bosses. The Cursed Greatwood, Wolnir, Deacons of The Deep, Ancient Wyvern, ect…
I think they’re done a lot better in 3, though. Shit like the Bed of Chaos was fucking stupid. Ceaseless Disharge was almost pointless if you knew the trick.
Oh don’t get me wrong when they’re good they’re some of the best in the series but then we also have Moonlight Butterfly and 3 Stray Demons. But yeah gimmick boss wise DaS3 does them the best, with Demon’s a close second.
If you’re getting trying to get the Blue Sentinel/Dark Moon Blade covenant stuff, you can have someone drop the items for you so you pick them up. It still counts. You can even give them back and you will still have credit for acquiring them.
Well that sucks. Hopefully From fixes it soon because it really sucks that a lot of people can’t even get summoned. No one wants to grind Silver Knights for 20 hours straight.
I’ve been summoned once as a Blue Phantom, I really think a Blue Eye Orb would fix most of it as then you could easily join someone who is being invaded in Farron/Londo
So started my pyro 2 build with estoc. Estoc is so good. Stun locks the fuck out of enemies. Npc’s are easy peasy with estoc. Anyways, so far ive dumped most shit into health and endurance, and then im going to redo it with that one chick once i get what i want later on. I’ll dump more into faith and intelligence way later.
That’s… actually a really good idea. Especially if you’re fighting multiple people. Even without a mist veil, I’ve locked onto one attacker, then switched targets just in time to nail someone who thought he was in my blind spot. Speaking of noise, I don’t think boulder heave makes much of a sound. So if you’re fighting a shield person… Yea, I’m fast-equipping both of those spells next time I fire up my pyro.
I still wish spell casters didn’t have to rely so heavily on trickery to be competent in PvP. Oh well. that’s what makes those wins taste better.
Yea, 40 is a little high if you just want 2 swings. 40 gets me about 3 swings with a farron greatsword, and i can do 2 emergency rolls too.
your vigor looks pretty good. I don’t think you’re going to get that much more tanky with just 5 points. if you want to get tankier, invest in vitality and equip heavier armors.
Honestly, that looks like a solid build.
Don’t the darkmoon essentially auto-invade Ador Londoa and also get Concords? I was a darkmoon and I got teli-ported there to defend a host when I was in Lothric. I was like “lol, okay.”
I can get three 2H BKGA swings with 40 endurance and only have a sliver of endurance left to roll away. Problem here is that it you’ll never combo three R1s in a row, so having enough stam to seems unnecessary. Also seems unnecessary in PvE as well.
Regarding Darkmoon Blade covenant, consider yourself lucky I guess. A lot of people are bugged and literally cannot be summoned or have a very, very poor chance of being summoned. It’s definitely confirmed to be bugged though, as PC users can circumvent the bug by using a family share account. XB1/PS4 users are fucked though until a fix happens.
Finally able to use Magic Greatsword and have to say am very disappointed that it’s just one swipe rather than timer-based.
Looks cool though and covers alot of ground around the player.
If you are having trouble there I wish you luck in future areas, cause lordy that ain’t nothing.
Well I’m finally stuck, trying to figure out how to unlock this elevator passage to the princes. May backtrack to clear my head and see if I missed anything noteworthy.
