I actually ended up getting a double ko with Aldritch, so glad that shit still counted especially since he had had co-op health since I’d bought in a summon who had done sod all damage with soul arrows then got squashed in the first phase.
Finished my playthrough now, pissed off that a certain summon died to the final boss meaning she stuck around instead of giving me her sword, but apparently her sword is ass anyway.
Ahhh, the dungeons. The most fun I had invading was doing jailer cosplay. I spent hours just on that, and I think that alone got me enough tongues to max out the Fingers covenant.
I got every piece of jailer equipment except the pants (which I now have as well), and equipped a set of pants that gave me loud footsteps. I had their branding iron spear, and in my other hand I equipped my pyro flame with Toxic Mist.
I also had a Chaos Pillars (or whatever it’s called) spell set, but 90 percent of the time my strategy was simply to find the player and any phantoms with them, and then walk around like a Mini-Me backup for the actual jailers. When the players came to kill jailers, I’d spew out toxic gas to 1) impede their sight and 2) get them toxic when they tried to kill the jailers. DON’T TALK TO ME OR MY SON DAD.
Then I’d just run from chokepoint to chokepoint to provide backup for the enemies, occasionally making sorrowful gestures when enemies got killed. If people reached the room with the army of jailers, I’d get in among them and just walk with the jailers, letting the players trigger the shortcut if they didn’t go right for me.
My stats were (and are) crap for the already-not-that-strong branding iron, so I’d only really use it for stunlocking people so enemies could get to them, or to interrupt people who were about to attack my dungeon buddies.
Now I have the pants too, and I’m not too many Faith points away from the straight-up HP-draining mist that’d complete the cosplay. So definitely getting back into it in NG+.
If you run enter Irithyll Dungeon AT ALL before running into him at the kitchen in Irithyll, he will skip the kitchen location and go straight to the dungeon.
Not necessarily. I think it depends what you’ve done before you get him out of the well. As mentioned, I only got him out of the well after completing the game, and I could still find him in the kitchen and then in the dungeons, even though I’d already opened his cell. I just didn’t get his very final encounter, and missed out on his armor set.
Damn man this gold phantom i summoned just dropped me every single katana except the Uchi, and the Ring of Steel +2, Life Ring +3, Ring of Favor +2 and the Hunters Ring…on my brand new dex build. Fucking thank you Sunbro.
Does the ring of favor break when you take iy off still? The description doesnt say but i know how thing ring worked in DS1 lol
Man i fucking swear if i broke Seigwards quest again. I got Patches to lower the bridge while i was on it, then i went and talked to Seigward then warped back to firelink and ran up the tower and patches isnt locking me in. So went back to Cathedral to see if i needed to talk to him or something and hes not there either Went back to firlink hes not in his spot, and hes not locking me in the tower…Quests in this gsme are obnoxiously easy to break if i really have screwed this one up again. Fucking annoying.
Yes, that is what I implied, since I doubt he ran all the way through Irithyll Dungeon and Profaned Capital without lighting the Dungeon bonfire. I should have worded it that it includes lighting the bonfire, but yes Siegward will skip the kitchen location in Irithyll if you have lit the Dungeon bonfire. Killing Pontiff before lighting the Dungeon bonfire might affect it too.
