The hacker who was getting players softbanned on his stream has shared his cheating software online. Bunch of new cheaters are popping up on the PC version now.

If you’ve never used it before there are good tutorials and how to’s on youtube where they show you how to make some good looking intros and that kind of stuff.

How are they cheating exactly?
He has some kind of setup where, if he hits you, you suddenly gain items and tons of souls or something, which the server detects as cheating and it forces the other players to get banned.
If I understand right, He’s got it set so that when he attacks other people THEY see a HUGE influx of souls to their character and Fromsoft soft bans them for cheating.

This is correct. From is working on a different way of detecting chests so people don’t get banned like this.
Best way to make sure you don’t get banned is to backup your save before each play session. If a hacker invades you and gets you banned, just load up your backup save. Annoying, but it’s better than nothing right now.
Exactly. Now its time to put their talent together and resolve the issue. This is probably also why companies hate releasing games on pc too. haha. Now they have to go back and fix some shit that otherwise on console would likely have not been an issue. At least not for a while.
I like it though. Its always good to know your flaws as a general rule of life.
I don’t know if I’ll use it for the entire game or not but the Dark Sword is so good. Managed to kill the Abyss Watchers on my first attempt using it.
Infuse it with heavy gem, and i think it “A” scales with strength. I wouldnt worry too much about your weapon on just NG. You can finish the game relatively easy with like almost any weapon in the game, as long as your gameplan isnt to just mash until youre out of stamina, then mash roll to hopefully get away. lol
Dark Sword is arguably the best weapon in the game. Good move set, good weapon art, great damage, great stamina efficiency, and good range. I use it over my Black Knight Great Axe when I need to fight smaller enemies that R1 spam is effective against.
Yeah, got it to +4 or +5 already. I like the weapon aside from looking kind of goofy but whatever.
I use Dark sword as my main weapon. I infused it with a refine gem and doing crazy damage with it.
Dark Sword makes it REAL HARD to go back to anything else. I go back to my great sword, but then I’m like “I can get the same amount of damage for half my stamina bar” and switch back real fast, lmao. FML.
Beat the game yesterday. There’s still a lot I haven’t done, and I just remembered I didn’t attempt the boss at the final area’s garden. Probably shouldn’t have started NG+…oh well.
Has anyone tried to kill the dragons in the final area? The ones that block your path with flames? I’m curious as to what you get for killing them.
Even though Dark Sword is wonderful I don’t always stick with it. I occasionally switch to the twin spears. Sometimes I like stun locking a fool.
