Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

Spoiler

the difficulty of the nameless King is been greatly exaggerated. The fight is fun but extremely easy. Dragon goes down fast with a couple of whacks to the head. Once solo he’s easy to dodge as the wind up to his attacks are slow.

Thats fucking great. Its like, you never get that view because youre always the one running. I need more videos like this. haha. Future dark souls, or souls games in general should have some feature that will record you like your on camera, and you can see what your battles look like from an outside point of view.

[details=Spoiler]It depends on your approach and playstyle like most encounters in this game.

If you play up close to the dragon you’re gonna die and die fast, if you run the midrange and bait/punish you’ll get it pretty quickly.[/details]

[spoiler=]I stay close to the dragon. The only thing I’ll need to worry about is when it takes to the sky to breathe fire on the ground. Everything else it does is easily avoidable. If it does it’s fire breath grounded that’s a free stagger.[/details]

The thing is, you don’t even know what you’re talking about because all GS don’t even have hyper armor. All UGS, GA, and GH have it though. Maybe there are a few GS that have it, but in general, no.

Only two bosses left. One extra boss and the last boss. Swimming in Twinkling Titanite/Titanite Chunks/Titanite Scales, thinking I might upgrade this Black Knight Shield and Black Knight Greatsword a bit(BKS seems to be one of the best shields in the game before you get into Greatshields. Better than my Lothric Shield overall and every other comparable 100% block shield.) I’m going to get whatever Estus Shards/Undead Bone Shards I’m missing, see if there are any rings around I didn’t find, basically do whatever I can before heading into NG Plus. Grind some covenant related stuff so I can get whatever spells are tied to them.

Every stat soft/hard caps around ~40 huh? Can’t even get anymore Stamina after 40 Endurance.

Stamina goes up by 1 point every 2 levels after 40. Definitely not worth.

Fear not about going into NG+ after beating the last boss, as you have the option to do so after the credits roll. If you select no, you can go into NG+ any time by using the option in the Firelink Shrine bonfire. It’s nice so you can go ahead and grab things you missed or grind out some drops before moving into NG+.

You’re wrong actually, most have it. In fact I’ve yet to see a GS that doesn’t have hyper armor. I’m not sure where you got your info, but it’s wrong. if you’re going of personal experience, then you or the enemy are mis-timing it.

Almost all GS have hyper armor, not a few.

The R2 attacks definitely do, if the R1 attacks do, it is an extremely small window in which case it would likely lose to faster weapons anyway

Also, managed to get Bloodlust last night. It’s actually a really solid weapon for the bleed build. It does an extremely high amount of bleed and has a self buff that boosts damage (and bleed I’d assume)

I’ve been trying to come up with an anti-Dark Sword strat. It seems your best may just be to take a hit or two of R1 spam and then go for the parry

Still really early in the game I bet, but I have finally have access to the boss soul that gives you the choice between two greatswords. Love the lore behind one of them, but the other looks fun as hell. Which did you guys pick? I’m leaning toward a quality build at the moment, so I think I’ll go with the one with the lore.

You talking about the greatswords you get from the Abyss Watcher soul?

Farron GS has a very powerful spin 2 win attack; I’d suggest you take that one

It’s hella easy to parry though, people try to do it for free a lot

Good thing most bosses can’t parry, so feel free to spin2win!

Yeah, I’m only PvE, so I don’t have to worry about parries. Think I will go with farron gs.

Is it a bug when you get summoned, but can’t enter fog to fight boss?

Man you don’t get shit Soul wise from a successful invasion. I just had one where I killed both phantoms, a Darkmoon, and the host and I only got 6500 Souls

Yea, that’s a bug. Happened to me often when I was farming the dancer.
