I beat this boss using the Greatsword of Astora its an ultra great sword. I just had to accept that i could only get one hit in then had to fo back on defense. Otherwise he was pretty easy i got him like my second or third try. His stuff is actually pretty easy to dodge imo and the ghost is easy to kill.
Deacon and Abyss Watchers are my favorite boss fights so far.
Deacon man, as soon as you walk into the room it’s on. Now at first the fight didn’t seem too bad, but then there were skeletons that were casually walking into the fight out of nowhere. It took me a sec to realize to go for the ones with the torches. Fight was intense, if I didn’t have Anri and her friend summoned I’d have most likely gotten rekt.
Abyss Watchers…holy shit. The cinematic intro to the fight was awesome. Now I’m 1v1ing the boss and all of a sudden there’s…two bosses? THREE BOSSES? THEY’RE FIGHTING EACH OTHER? SHIT NOW THEY’RE GOING FOR ME. Then when you think it’s all over, the boss pops V-trigger+X-factor and just attacks you non stop. Even when blocking you take crazy chip damage. I have to learn his patterns in his 2nd form or I won’t be able to beat that boss. I love the challenge, man. It just makes you feel all that more satisfied when you do manage to take a boss like this down.
I think I fucked up Anri’s questline by leaving her covenant for another one. I think if I didn’t leave when I did, she and her friend would have showed up outside the Abyss Watchers fight.
Yeah, I remember that. The way he looked at you after he killed the other watcher. It was straight cold blooded. As if he was used to killing. And when he took the stance, chills went down my spine. Badass.
Music is incredible, the actual boss is a bit lame imho.
Started my dex/int/luck build, it seems to have some major potential. However, I’m hearing the meta is gojng to be at SL 100 (seems a good place to stop imo) so I’m going to have to make some serious sacrifices
Took out the Abyss Watchers. You can backstab them, and on top of that they can have their attacks interrupted by staggers a bit. It took me quite a few deaths to figure that out.
Who are you hearing this from, the only rumblings I’m hearing from Fextralife and Reddit are SL125, which sounds about right tbh, tight enough to not do everything at once but flexible enough to not have the whole meta be “gouge 1 attack stat and stick the rest in vit, end and vig”
I’ve heard a few streamers/people in IRC talk about the SL 100 meta. I still think it will end up around 125 because most people want as many levels as possible, but I personally feel that is a bit too high. With a SL 100 meta you actually are forced to make some sacrifices in your build; you still make sacrifices at 125, but not to the same extent imo
OMFG can someone please tell me how to get to [details=Spoiler]pontiff sullyvan?![/details]
I have looked the entire area of irythill, it’s 3 bonfires and even the one after it. I want to progress the game but I simply cannot find this fucking boss.
[details=Spoiler]Ghost is easy to kill? I could maybe get him down to half health as it was spawning before it and the boss start going full aggro again, making opportunities to attack and dodging very difficult and sparse. Not sure what you exactly did differently.
Also, you apparently can sit gesture under a lot of his attacks LOOOL.[/details]
PvP character finished. I looked all over the Internet and I saw a general consensus for SL130 so I’m capped at that. May be a mistake that haunts me though.
Farmed NEARLY all weapons, armour, rings and spells(Missing the boss weps that are double picks with the same soul).
Beat all bosses, nearly ready to head out to NG+ but I’m currently farming slabs. Managed to get 12 of them so far.
What are the negative effects of hollowing in this game? I just noticed the stat recently. It doesn’t appear until after you die, and it goes up the more you die.
