Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

You can find a really solid sword (particularly for faith builds) in the very first area of the game. In the Deacon area you can find another solid, bleed inflicting straight sword. Also, much later, you get a boss soul weapon that transforms to an awesome straight sword (again more focused on faith though)

Then don’t play online.

Invaders are a part of co-op. Don’t cheat. Kind of shitty thing to do to an invader.

Some are quests, but are you sure you’re remembering to be in Ember form?

I’ve definitely found some cool one handed swords. There’s the Lothric Knight Sword, Dark Sword, Ithryll sword etc. Theres definitely good early options, gotta farm some enemies for drops though, or kill special ones

Butchers knife +3 is pretty good. Stacks A for strength and has a healing buff critical art on hit.

Good starter weapon for strength builds.

I’m still using it well into the game. It’s an all around solid weapon. It sucks it can’t be buffed though

still using the great machete!
it’s the only really heavy weapon i’ve found so far , and everytime i use the sharpen skill i get 20 second
"feels like i’m playing monster hunter" effect. It’s great !

Spoiler

got 100% done in undead settlement last night. turns out i missed the pyro , the sunlight covenant , and the cloranthy ringso too.
was trying to co-op with Gasa but ended up getting some company from crotchpuncha instead.

The giant crabs might be the most impressive enemy i’ve seen in the game yet.

GOOD!

Does anyone know if you can buy Titanite Shards? I’ve wasted a few of them so far and I’m regretting it. That being said, that Exile greatsword looks pretty damn baller.

So far my shop lady only sells titanite shards after i gave her the Wardens Ashes.

@crotchpuncha I found out why we were stuck. We completely missed a boss in the Crucifixion Woods lol.

Lol really? Thats funny. Good to know where to look tho. You on now?

I’ve been dousing ze flames in Farron Keep. Only have one left to go. I joined the Wolf covenant, I hope that doesn’t mess up the Anri NPC questline I have going on. I summoned them for he Deacon boss too, and ended up seeing them in the Firelink Shrine afterwards, but now I’m not part of their covenant anymore. The Asylum Demon 2.0 on top of the tower fucked me up a bunch of times, whenever I’d get him to low health he’d command grab me followed by tossing me over the side of the tower.

Based on what you just said ExposedD I should definitely go back there and explore. I got the key for the sewers in the area and found the firelink lady, but I haven’t gotten the key that costs 20k souls yet. Does that open the locked door that’s literally right outside Firelink Shrine?

That feel when you use the Faaron Greatsword and think it’s mediocre but then you try the two hand L1 Art AttacCK aND ItS FUvKinag AMAZING GUYS I CANT BREATHE

I fucking hate Farron’s Keep. I had to abandon so much loot since I’m not strong enough to get on the larger monsters there. The giant enemy crab being the biggest pain. I was sniping it from Ruin Keep and somehow it would manage to hit it through the environment or teleport onto my platform.

Clearly I’m doing something wrong.

When Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 and 2 came out, I tried to get into them but it was so bland to me and I kept dying.

Bloodborne hooked me from the beginning, even as I repeatedly died using the cane/whip.

I did go back to Dark Souls 1 and beat 3-5 bosses…killed Capra Demon my first time…made it to the sewers (where the explosions reduce your life by half until you figure out how to heal) This is where I stopped.

I rented Dark Souls 3 and gave up after 5 times or so against the first boss.

damn d00d

I made it to Farron’s Keep yesterday. I messed around in that place a bit. Why does anyone at FromSoftware think poison areas are wanted?

Are you guys remembering to get your 5 free levels from homie in firelink shrine?

I guess because I co op a lot I’m way overpowered from where I’m running through right now (catacombs).

FromSoftware please fix the covenants so they actually work.

My homie looks like he died. He’s just lying on the ground I can’t do anything.

Spoiler

Damn, I did all this work beating high-end bosses at a really low level so I could get into the grand archives really early, and it turns out you need to beat all three Lords just to make it in. I did not know that; lots of time wasted
